“Ohhh, that’s so pretty!” CC exclaimed
as she bounced up the stairs from the pool
Smiling, I said “Thank you!”
“What are you doing Gigi?” asked Charlie Brown
“I’m setting the table for dinner,” I replied
“Are we having a party?” asked CC
“No, I just thought it’d be nice to set a pretty table for dinner tonight”
“What’s that oar for?” asked Charlie Brown
“It’s just for decoration, part of the centerpiece” I said
“What’s a piece center?” he inquired
“Hey you know what?
I think your Mom has your lunch all ready for you,
why don’t you go inside and check…”
“Can I eat it out here Gigi?”

It is a lovely table! We haven’t had an al fresco meal in quite a while, it has been too warm.

A pretty table indeed! A gorgeous centerpiece and I’m sure everyone enjoyed sitting at this table for dinner. And, such a lovely spot to dine with those amazing views. So nice with a gulf breeze, not possible here to out here. Still so hot……….
thank you Emily, we are so lucky to be on the South side of the island where the breeze comes up every afternoon, making the porch so nice and enjoyable when the sun goes down…we eat out there every night, no bugs either!
