Party Panache, Black Raspberry Smooch

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Have you seen this Vodka?

DSC_6067

How could I resist this bottle with the lipstick kiss, just like the kiss on my glasses?  Too cute!

It would make a delish cocktail with some White Chocolate Liqueur I thought…

And because I am impatient, and because it was 10 am, I decided to do a little staged photo shoot…I used some milk and some fresh raspberries I had just bought and started snapping away.

I grabbed this and that from around the house, borrowing from several vignettes…

I was having a grand ole time!  In the evening I decided to make the real cocktail….the first problem was that White Chocolate Liqueur is not really white, it is actually sorta brown.   Whoops, I’m going to get busted with the fake milk cocktail photos for sure…

But it looked so pretty!

I made a trial cocktail and took a sip….aghhhhhhhhh, it was NASTY!  The White Chocolate liqueur sort of curdled in the ice, which was pretty gross on it’s own, but it also tasted terrible!

Okay, on to Plan B!  That will teach me to fake photo!

I looked on Pucker Vodka’s website to see what recipes they had for this Raspberry Vodka…in general they used 7-up or club soda and a splash of Cranberry. Well,  that’s predictable! But, I did have some of my favorite Dr. Brown’s Diet Black Cherry Soda!

This stuff is very tasty! And no calories!  Worth a try…

Ohhh, this is delicious!  It sparkles,

DSC_6228

it’s sophisticated,

It has a lovely deep Valentine red color!

DSC_6230

It tastes a little sweet, a little naughty, and very refreshing!

It’s a keeper!  If you don’t have the Black Cherry soda, try it with diet Cherry 7Up, regular 7Up or Sprite and add a cherry for garnish.

I think I’ll go find my Valentine…..

  1. Sounds like a wonderful “smooch”.

  2. Sounds delish and I LOVE the bottle! Happy Valentine’s!

  3. I am laughing SO HARD!!!!!!!!! I’ll bet you just about fell out in the floor when that hit your tastebuds!!! What were you thinking?!?!??!!!! Anything with a name “Pucker” is probably going to make you suck your face in a little bit…especially when paired with any milk product!!! SO funny!!! I’m glad you recovered, though, and made a splashing comeback! Hey….what exactly is wrong with having a cocktail at 10 in the morning? 😉
