Tablescapes, The Bunny Garden
Welcome to the Bunny Garden!
It’s a magical place full of bunnies and their favorite vegetables
Benjamin is the biggest bunny so he stands proudly in the center looking over the garden and the smaller bunnies
He takes his position quite seriously
There’s a watering can to keep his garden green…
and he makes sure the asparagus grows straight and tall.
A white lattice fence surrounds the garden where carrots are abundant.
The fence helps to keep everything contained in this busy bunny garden…. bunnies can be quite messy you know!
The garden itself is all dressed up for Easter with silk bows… the color of carrots of course!
The places are set for Benjamin’s Easter guests with a bright pink napkin held in place with a burlap bunny napkin ring
on each plate is a plump red radish for pre-dinner nibbles,
and Benjamin waits patiently for the party to begin…
“Hopping bunny” goblets are waiting for the thirsty guests
Carrots, radishes, Brussels sprouts and asparagus, make for a garden of very happy bunnies!
The garden began with a cotton ruffled cloth
that was going to need some adjusting!
I gathered each end loosely and tied them with a silk sash.
I put a stone green tier in the center for Benjamin and lined the edges of the table with narrow graphic print mats. I tied the head chairs with silk sashes to match the table bows and covered the side chair backs with the same “lattice” mats. The sashes and mats are from another party I did several years ago and I have used them in a variety of ways…You never know when something is going to come in handy!
Benjamin hopped onto his pedestal and grabbed a big carrot. Isn’t he adorable?
His bunny friends arrived and the garden was born!
It looks like he’s been busy in the kitchen too

Jenna!!!! This is cool!!!! That was a very creative and effective way to do the table runner. The way you tied it with the ribbon gave it Easter oomph AND made it look right at home on the big table. Benjamin is the perfect garden sentry, and I love the way you incorporated so many fresh veggies…especially the asparagus in the glass cylinders. Tablescape today, soup tomorrow! 🙂 I also like the way you kept the centerpiece going down the length of the table. I just think that’s so important, especially when you have a big table to work with. The “white lattice fence” is very clever, too. I just enjoy the pure whimsical nature of it all! You were really into this!!!!! 🙂

I love how you made the lattice mat’s go around the table…I have a square table and we use all 8 spots and it is hard to get place mats to not overlap. I love the idea of just making table runners go all the way around! This table setting is just adorable! A new follower following from Savvy Southern Style!
I rarely leave comments, but I MUST tell you how adorable your tablescape is!!! I love Seasonal decorating and this is right up my alley. Although I have done many tables also, I really enjoyed the clever use of your fabric and the display of your carrot dip was outstanding! The hand-painted goblets were the finishing touch.
