the Organized Life, the June Paint Bucket

It’s June already?

My bucket list of recipes is one way I try to stay on top of  the feeling of “time flying by.”  It helps my kitchen brain stay focused and is a handy way to find and remember recipes I want to make or try.  Spending a little time organizing these thoughts at the beginning of the month helps me with not only cooking, but meal planning and shopping as well.  I use my Pinterest boards for collecting recipe ideas, and also refer to my favorite magazines, Southern Living and the Food Network Magazine.

This month’s plan is full of more recipes than I can make but it will spur me to try at least some of these new things.  Sometimes all you need is a little nudge!

Jenna, You’re so organized to plan and prepare all these delicious foods! I’m more haphazard but vow to be more organized. I usually dog ear my magazines and then finally go through them to tear out and put in a folder by category when it’s time to recycle. It’s always fun to go back and see what I missed 🙂 Love your All American Toast!

You are good! I have so many recipes to try and most of the time I don’t have all the ingredients so I end up preparing whatever can be made from what is on hand. Maybe you will be a good influence and encourage me to be a little better organized. I see some things on your list that are very tempting.

    • Thanks Linda, if I don’t stay organized I wobble off course easily! As you cn see I usually only manage to make a handful of the recipes I dream of every month!

Jenna, I want to come live with you this month. What delicious sounding meals. I’ve got to go back and check out some I’ve missed from last month. I love the presentation of the mini pancakes and fruit in the patriotic stem. laurie

  4. Great bucket list for June, Jenna! So excited that you are planning on trying the Roasted Red Pepper and Zucchini Soup! 🙂
I’ll have to check out Stone Gables Brussels Sprout Slaw — been meaning to try my hand at making slaw with brussels sprouts for a while!
