Tablescapes, 4th of July!

Santa?
Nah….just an aging beach boy!
A very patriotic aging beach boy
He’s carrying a flag and a bucket of shells in his rolled up red shorts
He sports a bright floral shirt and a red and white umbrella, with sunglasses perched on his hat
Tip: the “tablecloth” is actually 4 bandanas laid on the diagonal, edges touching, to make it look like one piece~I used a little clear tape to keep things together in a few hidden spots~ the bandanas were $1 each at Hobby Lobby. I used them as napkins for my Memorial Day table below
We are going to be all red, white and blue around here!
How will you celebrate the holiday?

Not sure what I like best – the patriotic tablescape, the patriotic beachy santa, or the adorable baby! Hugs, Holly

ohh, thanks Holly!

Oh my goodness, this is just the cutest and so perfect. Love, love, love that view, wow, amazing. Your little precious one is so cute, love the red, white and blue. Thanks tons for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
Thank you Marty, it is always a great party!
Jenna
This is really festive and so very clever. The blue water view totally completes it! I wouldn’t have thought of using napkins for the table cover~ awesome. And the beach boy centerpiece is a creative stroke of genius.
Wow, thanks Dana!
Jenna
So fun Jenna! Santa needs a little fun in the sun and beach time too! I saw those bandanas at HL last week, picked them up and put them back down. Now I’m asking myself why… Love your flag glasses, did you paint them? Adorable patriot in your highchair 🙂
I did paint the glasses, it was just sort of a happy accident that they matched the bandanas with their wavy stripes. Thanks for your sweet comments,
Jenna
I can’t get over your view, it’s spectacular! Lovin’ your cute beach boy (especially the rolled up pants) and the bandanna tablecloth is really neat:@)
This is delightful, Jenna! I love your patriotic beach boy aging at that! Your table is so artistic and clever. Love your fish bowls and hand painted glasses! The view is magnificent!
I know you will have a great july 4th with your family and especially that precious little doll all dressed up too. Both your 4th and memorial day tablescapes are so well done. Have a great holiday.
Great little aging beach guy all decked out for the 4th. Beautiful table with your patriotic flair. The tablecloth is perfect and the centerpiece and placesettings are the right combination.
I kept looking to find out if you painted the glasses!!! They have captured my heart. Love them. The fourth-ified beach guy is worth a big drool! Love him. Great table. Looks like a great spot to celebrate our country. xo marlis
Thanks Marlis, yes I did paint the glasses, just forgot to include that part~ love the comment about the four-ifed beach guy, so clever are you! Jenna
What a beautiful backdrop for a red, white and blue table, Jenna. Are you trying to tell us that July 4th is almost here! I love the use of the bandanas…very creative. Love the old beach boy!
I think I may have those same fish dishes…all they say on the bottom is Made in Italy. We use them all summer…also some clear glass fish shaped plates from Arcoroc.
Have a wonderful week…
I’m not sure if mine are that fancy, I will have to check~ thanks Marigene, I am still chuckling about your comments on my “lemon” plates 🙂
I’m loving your beach bum Santa! He sure deserves to be the centerpiece for your table, Jenna! What a view you have from your table.
You’ve outdone yourself, Jenna! This table is totally a wonderful example of creativity. I love what you did with the bandanas, and you can bet I’m going to copy that idea. I’m starting today to look for some bandanas, but around here that may be a challenge.
Hello,
What a festive table and the Uncle Sam (Santa) completes the look.
Happy Summer,
Bear Hugs,
Carolyn
Festive! What a welcoming and scenic dining spot. Love the boat centerpiece. Happy Summertime 🙂
What a fun table! Love the aging Beach Boy! Great idea with the bandanas too!
Thanks so much for linking to Let’s Dish!
Love, Love, Love, your Santa do you share where you got it.

Hi Judy, I got the Santa as a gift from a friend for Christmas this past year, she usually shops Home Goods and the deal type places so I’m assuming that was the source~when I was doing my 4th table I wanted to do something different to stand out from the usual flag and rocket centerpieces and when I ran across him on the closet shelf where I stash all the holiday decor I grabbed him with glee! Thanks for commenting,
Jenna
Love your clever “tablecloth” idea! And your Santa on Vacation centerpiece is darling!
Thanks Tricia~
We have a few of those aging beach boy surfers around here! I had a delightful discussion with one at the San Diego Zoo. He actually had a business card stating “Available for Parties” Wouldn’t that be a hoot, for the children!
Ha! One of my friends gave me this Santa one year for Christmas, she just about flipped when it showed up on my 4th of July table!
I love the big textures fish bowls and the blue glass bits scattered in them. Great fun!!
Thanks Lory~
Great table for the summer…your “Brian Wilson” surf dude is perfect for this table and wonderful basis for the colors. Love the fish bowls with blue glass…and everything else!
Brian Wilson, of course! I should have thought of that! From now on he will be known as Beach Boy Brian!
Delightful and creative patriotic table. The last little bundle all patriotic is precious from head to toe. Have a fun fourth, Jenna.
Darling post.
Thanks Bonnie, you too!
Love the aging beach boy and how you decorated around him. Super cute table- those fish dishes are fun! The bandannas spread out like a tablecloth was a smart idea! Love the cutie at the end!!
