Remember the embellished gold chargers from A night in Morocco? I couldn’t wait to see how I could use them again
They were so pretty with simple everyday plates of yellow and aqua
They look pretty fabulous with cobalt and sea green too~
These “Mediterranean” salad plates and fish dishes hopped into my cart at Home Goods recently
I simply couldn’t resist~the plates aren’t quite round, they look handmade. They only had 2, but I was thrilled anyway. I like to buy small amounts of things to mix and match.
They were $2.99 each, sigh….don’t you love a good bargain?
The fish dishes were in a set of 4, the other 2 are blue and swam to the beach house. They will be great to use for sauces, small snack dishes, even fresh herbs or finishing salts.
I had some small ceramic fish that I brought in to swim in the centerpiece with aqua glass “bubbles”
a green condiment bowl
and a pitcher of cold, clear water
and a pair of tall iron candlesticks complete the centerpiece
I couldn’t resist adding a “fish” frame of 2 of my favorite guys
It’s also fun to use a frame on the table with the menu inside
I made this frame by painting a plain dark wood frame with a light dry brushing of silver
I glued some small rectangular tiles along the edges
and a mosaic of sea glass across the bottom and added some silver wave like curls with a small brush and silver paint
Across the top of the frame is a row of silver fish. These are from the jewelry crafts section at Hobby Lobby
So when I’m not using the frame for my fishermen, it looks great on the table displaying the menu!
Be sure to try the Lobster Tempura with Sweet Chili Aoli, it is a special treat
You can find the recipe and gorgeous photos of the Lavender Cupcakes from Mary, over at Home is Where the Boat is
I will be posting the recipe for the Grilled Peach & Ricotta Salad soon!
Thanks so much for your visit today~

This is fabulous, Jenna. I have similar fish bowls. They are among the condo dishes.
I really do need to get busy and embellish some of my chargers!
Thanks so much Pat! I’ve got to stay out of Home Goods!
this table is wonderful..loving what you did with that frame and thinking I need to go shop our Home Goods store. I think I have only been in it once…LOL
Love, Mona
Hi Mona, Beware of Home Goods!! I always spend a fortune when I am lured through those doors! They have fabulous bargains though, have fun! Jenna
This turned out fabulous. I love how the fish plates work so well with those chargers! The frame is a great piece. Love the tray for the centerpiece too. xo marlis
Love this Jenna! So fun and pretty! And I love how you were able to utilize the chargers from the Morocco tablescape. They really work great with this!

I’m with you when it comes to mixing and matching and you’ve done a great job with this table. Lobster tempura? Now, that’s a new one for me.
Those charger plates are a true treasure. I love the Mediterranean accent plate. Reminds me of Daruta pottery. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
Don’t you love fishing for dishes at HomeGoods? Cheaper than a Grande Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte and no complicated ordering involved either:) Love your mix and match style Jenna! Your creativity shines through each post and with your embellished chargers and fishermen frame!
I am completely wowed by this table. I tend to like fish/sea themes in table settings, but this is something special. Why, oh why, can I never find such unique things at my local Home Goods store?
Well, I have to be careful, EVERY time I go to HG, it’s trouble so I don’t let myself go very often!!
I love the way you have shown all the different way you could use those beautiful chargers…I love all the ways you used them, I think my fav is the one where the pale blue plate is on top, wow it all looks so different…so creative and clever…
Thanks so much Phyllis, I always LOVE your tables!!
Very cool…this tablescape would fit right into Cuisine Kathleen’s ‘summer fun’ theme for the upcoming week. ( I noticed you don’t have her party listed, that’s why I mentioned it)
I love your creative ideas…beautifully executed!
Thanks Rett, I haven’t decided what I’m going to post for summer fun, Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Great Mediterranean plates. So full of fun!
Wonderful to have you at Seasonal Sundays.

Jenna – this is just the cutest table! The idea of using the fish and the “bubbles” in the centerpiece is just adorable and so creative. Love your plates and it is fun to see the chargers, again. They were a fabulous idea, too. Great table!!
Thank you Diane, much appreciated!
