Tablescapes, Roll Tide Roll!

To combat the sadness around here this weekend, you know because Alabama had a BYE this week, only the SECOND weekend of college football, I decided to cheer the guys up with an Alabama tablescape.
No game parties this weekend, oh the gloom and the doom!
Who has a BYE the SECOND weekend of the season??
What could be the reason?
How will we ever pass the time
We could munch on some peanuts
and drink some fine wine
or maybe have tea in an elephant glass, I bet you thought I was going to say elephant’s ass!
Two straws at each place to represent the goal posts of course
With a football to pretend that we’re cheering til hoarse!
A large polka dot “A”
and lots of “Elephant Gray”
Will keep the guys on track
until next week when football is back!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow and I will show you how to make the centerpiece wreath~it is a FAST and EASY, “NO SKILLS REQUIRED” craft!
I hope you had some football fun this weekend!

[…] Patriots. We’ve got something for everybody! I includedsome party table ideas below from The Painted Apron. Please make sure to give her blog a follow as well. We sell a variety of fabric that can be used […]
Too fun and creative Jenna! You scored a touch down with your poem and table! I love the clever addition of the straws as goal posts and all your Tide Pride paraphernalia! Your painted elephant glasses are so cute and I love the addition of the peanuts. Too fun and you used your wreath ribbon for napkin rings too! #rolltide 🙂
I love it! The good news about an early bye is, it’s now over with for the season:@)
Roll Tide is correct! Oh my, this table makes me want to go put on my “lucky” Bama shirt and not take it off, until after the game on Saturday. You did a fabulous job – everything is perfect, especially, that houndstooth tablecloth. Oh, how Bear would have loved this! Darling elephants and you even remembered to feed them peanuts. Love, love this so much!! Thanks for sharing it with other Bama fans – I want to party at your house for the game – lol!!
So nice to hear from a fellow Bama fan Diane, I know some must think we’re crazy!!
Hi Jenna – We’re not big football people but GO TEAM!!!!! And I hope your team wins the big game! WOO HOO! I love how you repurposed the wreath as the centerpiece. Always great visiting you. Hugs, Holly
Jenna, I’d say you scored with this one! Very creative with the words and the props. Love the peanuts in the elephant cup. ‘-)
What a fun and festive table! I am sure that your theme cheered everyone up.
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Even this loyal Mississippi State fan has to admit that this table is wonderful! Love your details.
Ha! Thanks Bev!
Love your table! What a great set up! I am completely uninterested in football. My family is not. My 89 year old Mama screams at Bama games proudly just like she did when Bear Bryant was coaching. Some things never change. This Bama table has been pinned, and will be used as inspiration when I give Mama her 90th birthday party! Thanks for sharing.
That is hilarious! Sounds like Mama is quite a character!
What a beautiful and creative table! I just adore it. We did have fun this week – beat the Univ. of Texas!!!! Yeah! Everyone was surprised at that, especially their coaches. The game was delayed for 1:55 due to the worst storm we have ever had, everyone’s basements were flooding. We were lucky and just got a little through some windows. Unbelievable.
Hope you leave the table up until the next game. It is so fun and festive that it will make everyone smile as they pass it all week long.
Such a fun table. Loved the, I think it was, sarcasm. I have always wanted to do a football table. Maybe I will now. Your poetry was very fun. Joni
thanks so much Joni!
I know the guys will be able to make it through the weekend now! You are SO creative!!!! Love this!!!
Thanks Zenda!
Love your Alabama “Roll Tide” Tablescape. Just watched Alabama play Texas A&m. Great game. Bet you are smiling tonight. Your tablescape is so creative. I am in Browns Territory and was thinking about doing an orange and brown football tablescape. I hope you don’t mind if I use some of your great ideas. It’s good to be inspired!!
Thanks Candy! Yes, we were pretty excited last night! Have fun with your Browns table!
What a cute tablescape! Should have soothed the souls that were sad because of the BYE. The wreath is cute and I like the straws acting like the goal posts- very creative!
Well done!!! Roll Tide!!
Wow! Love how you used the wreath flat on the table – inspired!
I love everything! Roll Tide Roll!
