Creations, Burlap Owl with a Ball Jar
I hope you won’t be disappointed…Super Boy did not help me make this owl….I woke up the other day with this overwhelming urge to make an owl and I just couldn’t wait~ Strike while the iron is hot and all that…
This is truly a 15 minute craft
Unless the plumber is at your house because your kitchen sink has been backed up for 3, count them, ONE TWO THREE, days
And he tells you the situation is precarious when you ask him how it’s going
And then he asks you to watch the sink as they purposely back it up and it fills to the brim with unmentionably nasty water and crud,
and then he tells me to run outside and tell him when the sink starts to drain…
And then once he’s down off the roof, oh yeah, he’s on THE ROOF,
He tells you that the whole experience was terrifying!
Have you ever had a plumber use adjectives like precarious and terrifying?
So it did take me a little longer than 15 minutes to make this owl,
But I was multitasking…
But you shouldn’t have any problem
As long as your sink’s not backed up….which is precarious and terrifying!

The owl is so fun – the plumber, not so much! Without the backed up sink part, this project truly looks easy and quick. I hope your sink is repaired nicely – made for an enjoyable story, though. You have the best ideas, Jenna! Thanks for sharing your craftiness. 🙂

How adorable. And you’re sure mine will turn out looking like an owl? I made a pumpkin today and I’m not even sure it looks like a pumpkin! heehee! You’re so talented!
hahaha! I was making a pumpkin the other day and my son said “are you making a ghost?” So don’t feel bad!! Trust me, owls are easier than pumpkins!!

That’s cute! I can imagine a whole group of them lined up in a window sill! I guess I understand your compulsion to just wake up with an urge to make an owl – about a month ago, when the Halloween stuff first started coming out, I just had an urge to BUY an owl – ended up with two very cute, feathery ones. Not sure what I’ll do with them yet, but I just have to have them!
