After all the freezing weather I decided to warm things up around here with a little Tex-Mex table~
I raided the pantry for all things red, spicy and cowboy
and a pear?…well, it was the right color! And cowboys love pears right? Well, they should, anyway, everyone needs to eat more fruits and veggies!
I love to use fresh fruit and vegetables on my tables but sadly, today all I had was a pint of grape tomatoes, 2 heads of garlic and the pear
Miniatures await crushed ice and limes
With “Add your own Tequila Margaritas”, things should heat up fast!
I used chalkboard tags for napkin rings
and the individual ceramic compotes are perfect for salsa, guacamole or queso
An olive stirrer to get drinks mixed just right
I used a painted wine bottle from the Fiesta party last summer, hung with a cowboy hat ornament on the neck
Creating a centerpiece from the unexpected is cheap a great conversation starter!
I have a lot of “twos” of things, so if you look carefully you can see the mixing and matching going on. The salad plates are all the same pattern, just 2 different shapes.
For some other hot and spicy tables, check out the Fajita Buffet and Cinco de Mayo. You will find some great warm up recipes on those posts too!
This night we’re having Skinny Margaritas
