Creations, Valentine Tree

Time to start thinking of Valentine’s Day!

And time for my little silver, scrawny, “Charlie Brown” tree to transform once again!

After a busy football season, it was time for a change

At first I left the black and red balls on the tree, but ultimately decided to start fresh~

I was out of funds decided to use what I could find on hand before doing any shopping

I still had pink ribbon from the Birthday Tree, and was delighted to find this hearts and cupids shiny garland in my Valentine stash

I set the tree in this white wooden crate and tucked heart tissue in to cover the base

I added the shiny heart ornaments I’ve had forever and a ruffled light pink ribbon, and it was looking quite festive already!

This cupid came out to perch near the top, but it still lacked something…

a few clicks on the computer and abracadabra, paper ornaments and conversation hearts!

I’ve heard that the 2014 conversation hearts have been updated with trendier sayings

The XOXOs are my favorite

For spending $0, I think it turned out pretty great!

This little tree will be busy for the next month

A Valentine party

and a Valentine birthday are coming up!

Thanks so much for stopping by, YOU are the icing on my cupcake!
