Party Panche, Easy Party Decor
It is a sad fact that so many people think they aren’t creative…and so many people say they can’t cook…Creativity can be a little like cooking, if you have a recipe and you can read, and a little desire, you can create and you can cook!
So, I am going to share “my recipe” for an easy Princess crown and Party Banner, that you can adapt to just about any party
I was going to make my own banner of triangles, but when I saw this for $4.99, heavy glossy white cardboard triangles already strung together on a white ribbon, it was pretty much a no brainer.
The crown baking cups just happened to be the perfect size to glue on for decoration! Originally I was going to glue fabric on the triangles and use cardboard letter cut outs, but time was short so I went the simple route. Either way, this plain banner offers up tons of possibilities and the hard part is done for you!
I just painted the letters on freehand, in a bubble font, but you can trace it out in pencil or use a stencil if that is more comfortable. If you use paint [instead of markers] keep a damp sponge handy and you can quickly wipe the wet paint right off if you mess up~
For the little Princesses crown, I wanted to make it light and soft so she just might wear it.

I used a piece of fusible fabric that has the texture and thickness of felt
You simply iron a piece of fabric onto the fusible side, right side up and then cut it out
I bought a child sized pink stretchy head band
and machine stitched it to the crown, gently stretching it as I stitched
I added one bling
but the Princesses’ mommy wanted more bling and a 1
“My wish is your command!” said the Princess!
The Bloomin Ball Jars looked adorable on the park’s picnic tables
We had a slate chalkboard tray in the center of each table with strawberry mini cupcakes.
My little crates came along, dressed with pink napkins to hold pink & white M&M party mix~we had to keep everything covered until the very last minute as it was humid and we were joined by some curious bumble bees!
the Birthday Cake Banner was festive on the center post
We used disposable white vinyl table cloths from the party store and secured them at both ends with some wide pink mesh ribbon that we tied on the underside.
A great time was had by all!

I really admire how you are able to freehand print so well!! It always looks primo! As hard as I try, it never turns out looking quite as good as yours. I have really good penmanship when it comes to cursive writing, but printing for fun just eludes me. Right on, girl! LOVE the chalkboard!!!
You have a great deal of creativity coursing through your veins. BLESSED!!!
If it makes you feel any better my cursive isn’t too hot!! I also took 2 semesters of freehand writing in college as part of my art major, it’s basically a skill like anything else, practice, practice practice!! Thank you so much for your always generous comments Alycia~

Jenna, This is SO cute! The banner is wonderful what a brilliant idea to use cupcake crowns and with the ready made banner! Love Miss Charlotte’s blinged crown is adorable too! I was admiring your chalkboard art, I haven’t gotten used to the chalk markers, I’m more comfortable with chalk. Looking forward to seeing it up close 🙂
