When I redecorated the family room last fall I choose a gray and white palette. I didn’t realize at the time how versatile this would turn out to be~
Gray and white works just as well as black and white as a background for one accent color
I have a wardrobe of pillows that I use to decorate with but my spring lime chevron pillows were a pattern overload, yikes!
Red looked great for Valentines Day
and pink for the first pop of Spring
Orange worked well for Halloween
For Christmas I covered the numeral pillows with burlap and ribbon
and used accents of gold and silver
One or two pillows can change the whole mood of a room
So I took my spring green chevron pillows [which are burnt orange moire underneath ] and covered them yet again with gray polka dot duck
I fell in love with this painted pillow from Pottery Barn~
It looks cute with this Ikat pillow too
The mantle is decorated with my “Curious Bunny” and a wreath of cotton
Hmmmm….after Easter I think I’ll bring in some turquoise…. or maybe purple!
Thanks for so much for “hopping” by!

I love the Christmas theme with the gold and silver. Very elegant! I have to admit, I’m not usually a big fan of gray, but you make it look so lovely. And I adore the rabbit pillow.
Jenna, I never realized how versatile gray was either until I got a gray handbag 🙂 Love your new bunny PB pillow, it looks great paired with your Ikat & polka dots!
I love the grey, Jenna! Gorgeous room and images.
Everything looks so beautiful – but LOVE that wreath of cotton on your mantel – just gorgeous!

Thanks for the post. I will certainly comeback.
My bedroom is in shades of gray, and I have really enjoyed it. Amazing what accents you can add.
I love your neutral pallet, Jenna. You can vary the look so well with accent colors. The bunny pillow is adorable.
Presto chango! Voila! you showed fab new looks for the same room by using simple changes
Hey, Jenna! I’m going to forward this to my Mom. She recently went grey (not her hair…that’s BEEN grey! 🙂 ) throughout the top floor of her home, and I think she’ll benefit from seeing all the different ways she can spice it up. I was just watching the news here locally, and they were talking about how grey is the new brown as a neutral. You hit the nail on the head, girl!
Have a great weekend!!!
Thanks Alycia, so sweet of you! My daughter went all gray and white and I was horrified until I saw the stunning impact of her house…it is gorgeous, and yes, I totally copied her and I am so glad! Thanks so much, I do hope things are well in your life~
All of your pillows are so pretty, Jenna, and you’re right, they change the entire appearance of the room. I love that bunny pillow. I also love your cotton wreath. Did you make it? Do you have a tutorial on your blog for making it? I need one of those. Have a great weekend. laurie
thanks Laurie, I should have mentioned that it is just a faux cotton garland that I bought from Grandin Road on clearance after Christmas~ I just hung it on a nail and it formed a wreath sort of~ I loved the natural shape/look so I just left it alone~
So many easy and great ideas! I love the grey and white color scheme. 🙂
thanks Tina!
I love the presto chango with the different pillows! I’m trying to do the same in my home too. Changing out pillow covers for the season.
