Last Christmas when I saw a tree decorated with faux cotton garlands
I got weak in the knees it was so fabulous
It was decorated with other natural elements and was simply stunning
I wasn’t quite as weak after I found out the price~$40 for 6′ and the tree must have had 6-8 garlands on it
I walked away, sad, but proud of myself…
DD actually saw it in the same gift shop and wanted to buy some for me, knowing I would love it, but she too fainted at the price tag walked away
It was still on my mind after Christmas, so just for fun I googled it to see if I could find it anywhere else
Happy New Year! Grandin Road had the exact garland on clearance for $10!
So I bought 3, you know being such a bargain and all! Now I was in “high cotton!”
One garland made a wonderful loose, natural wreath
and two made this “High Cotton” Tree~
You could use a tomato cage, any garden stand item, or cone shaped object to wrap ANY garland around to make a tree. I have seen beautiful garlands of hydrangeas and mixed florals at craft stores that would make wonderful “trees”
I was able to attach the wired garland to the metal garden frame here and there, just by bending the stems around parts of the cage, or you can use small gauge wire to secure it in place.
It just fits under the chandy!

Well, I love both of them, Jenna. I’m glad to learn that it is not real cotton. I kept trying to figure out how I would make the cotton stems bend like that. I would love to get some of this garland at the price. I’ll be on the lookout. laurie
