Tablescapes, “Nest Eggs”
I am participating in a spring challenge at Cuisine Kathleen’s this week, the tablescape must include eggs, nests or birds.
I had some bird nests in my winter decor stash, and even though they are painted with gold, when they nestled in by the High Cotton tree, they blended perfectly
I gathered brown and white eggs, ribbon and twine
and “decorated” the eggs with plain and fancy~
I used a large piece of bright pink burlap for a table topper and brown rattan chargers
I couldn’t wait to use my “High Cotton” Tree
There are “nest eggs” hiding all over the place
pink paper shreds make a soft nest
for jelly beans and salted caramel mini cupcakes
A golden “egg” indeed!
Ribbon wrapped eggs snuggle in nests by the tree
Eggs of all shapes and sizes are scattered about
Bunnies, and cotton and eggs everywhere!
If you look closely you can see a bunny hiding in the cotton tree
Peeking out, hoping he won’t be discovered
Burlap Bunnies hold the napkins
There are a lot of Curious Bunnies around our house~
“Gigi, what is all this stuff?” asked Super Boy
“Are those jelly beans?” he asked, hopefully…
“I’m not sure,” I said, maybe we should taste one or two after dinner…
“I think that’s a great idea!” he said, “And we’d better try those white things! I bet they’re candy too!!”
“Okay,” I said, “But just make sure you eat all your carrots before the bunnies see them~”
“Dad! DaD! DAAAAAAD!, Is my dinner almost ready? I’ve got to eat my carrots quick before Gigi’s bunnies see them!!”

Everything is adorable. The bunny peeking out of the high cotton tree and all the other bunnies at your house know they living the high cotton life. Darling curious bunnies climbing up the compote. I’m smiling at your darling table. What a treat!

The peek-a-boo bunny is so sweet hiding in the cotton tree. The pink runner, the napkins and napkin rings, and the hoppin bunny glasses are perfect for a beautiful Easter tablescape.

This is the most creative tablescape! The cotton bolls tree is just the best idea and very rustic. I love the use of the bunny and egg goblets maybe my favorite. The pink and white color scheme really gives a pop to your tablescape!

So cute! Love the cotton tree. I had one piece of it in my desk for years. The kids were amazed to see what cotton looked like. You know we are cotton deprived in the North!

So cute! I bet I’d be rushing to eat my carrots, too, if I knew all those treats were for the taking after dinner! I’ve been unusually good this year in not buying any Easter candy to have around the house. This will probably cause me to fall off the wagon! 🙂 (And I just want to scream looking at and craving those salted caramel cupcakes!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hi Jenna, I love the high cotton tree and the story of your precious little guy and the treats. I was down south before Christmas and saw fields of cotton ready to be picked. Your tree really looks like the fields. Your table is so pretty in pink and those bunny napkin rings must have been a big hit too! Linda
