Holidays, Red White and Sea Blue

Red, white and sea blue?

HH & I love to have a little down time before and after the big holiday weekends and we have been enjoying a few days alone on the coast

One of our favorite meals is crab legs and corn on the cob, so easy to prepare and so delicious to eat

It’s very windy tonight so we’ll be dining inside

the red fish is ready for crab legs

There is a raised top at the end of the island that makes a perfect little table for 2~

HH brought home some roses from the grocery store [he is incredibly sweet] and I immediately knew where they were going

One of my friends surprised me with this boat recently [she is incredibly sweet too].  It is actually a planter, but I doubt I will ever use it for that…it is too much fun to fill with other things!

I stuffed it full of towels so I wouldn’t need a truckload of rocks and just added them on top around the plastic cups

big fat red blooms and baby’s breath fill the plastic cups of water hidden in the rocks

Some blue umbrellas for fun and to further cover the cups

And American flags of course to honor our troops and salute the Holiday!

Hooray for the red white and [sea] blue!

What could be more appropriate for Memorial Day on the coast?

How do you celebrate Memorial Day?

My friend Holly over at Coconut Heads Survival Guide is hosting a Patriot Palooza~why don’t you pop over and check it out and link up your patriotic posts!
