Take-out Tuesday, Buried Treasure Biscuit Bites

You don’t have to be a pirate to find the treasure in these biscuits, they are loaded with loot!
After a day on the high seas, you will love digging into these!
Just 5 little innocent ingredients~ pretend you see pecan halves in the picture too~
well, maybe not innocent…decadent is probably a better word
Melt a stick of butter and cut biscuits into 1/8s. Roll around in the butter in your baking dish
Top with crumbled bacon and bleu cheese. Add pecan halves if you really want to be sinful
Using your fingers toss the dough pieces with the toppings to distribute evenly
Bake at 375 for about 25-35 minutes~the edges will brown first so make sure the dough in the center is done before removing from the oven
Try to keep the dough pieces in an even single layer for the best results
Use a serving spoon to serve onto plates, then dig in with your fingers!
These are better than your average dubloons, I mean biscuits!

Buried Treasure Biscuit Bites
Ingredients
- 12 Pillsbury Grands biscuits*
- 4 oz bleu cheese
- 6 slices thick bacon cooked
- 4 oz pecan halves
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
- Melt butter in a ceramic or glass baking dish. Cut biscuits into 1/8s and gently roll around in the butter.
- Top with bleu cheese, bacon and pecan halves, gently distributing toppings on and around biscuit pieces.
- Bake at 375 for 25-35 minutes. Check the middle of the dish to make sure the inner dough is cooked. The outer edges will brown sooner than the middle will cook.
Notes
Enjoy your Pirate’s treasure!

This looks like a fun make ahead treat to take on an overnight boat trip as it would be very easy to bake or reheat at cocktail time.
definitely! We reheated the leftovers the next day~
This looks simply decadent!….My hubby is not a fan of blue cheese (I love it)..would substituting another cheese do well with the recipe?
Absolutely! Any cheese would be wonderful~thanks Shirley
Jenna, without even meeting you in person, I’m going to hold you personally responsible for the weight I gain by HAVING to try your recipes. This looks scrumptious. I have printed it and can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing, but no thanks for the pounds! laurie
I know Laurie, this is really a sinful one, but it’s so worth it!
I know I would find something good to eat today on your blog. This is a decadent snack I intend to serve next time our kids are home. Thanks for a new recipe.
aren’t you sweet Bonnie! So glad to oblige!
Oh my…to plunder that bread with blue cheese, bacon with pecans! Buried treasure doesn’t get much better unless you add potatoes in my opinion š
