Home Decor, the Welcomed Guest

Martha Stewart said you should always spend the night in your own guest room to see if it’s comfortable~
I recently tried this… we bought new mattresses for all the guest rooms… ^^’
A tray full of goodies and things to pamper your guests will make them feel special
A quart jar full of personal items, just in case they forgot something~
You can buy these $1 trial sizes everywhere these days, Walmart, Target, drug stores even some grocery stores
HH is a dentist so we make sure everyone has toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste
A stack of fluffy hand towels and a new bar of soap
a glossy magazine and a jar of candies
a notepad and an interesting book
tissues, a sugar scrub and a bright new nail file~
Any of these things will be a delightful treat
It’s nice to provide an afghan for napping or cool nights
How about a colorful bag for shopping or sunning
A hat perhaps and a personal note
I’m not shy about asking for a little help~
Everybody changes their own sheets before they “check out”
Some simpler touches can be done in the guest bathroom
A nightlight, some scented body scrub…and a jar of necessities on stand by for guests to use
and a boatload of extra wash cloths and towels~
And make sure you have as much fun as your guests!

I will be joining these fabulous parties and blogs:
Jenna, You guest room looks so inviting with your welcome bed tray of goodies! I’d be worried they’d never leave 🙂 I have guests coming this weekend and changing the sheets and making the beds is one of those chores that I hate.
This looks lovely! I’m surprised no one has moved in permanently! 🙂
Amanda
ha! Thanks Amanda, our friends don’t get to come very often because the house is usually full of our children and grands~ it is a treat when it’s full of adults!
Love this idea, the colors, the tray and the room! Wonderful post, Jenna!
Love the fun colors in the rooms Jenna! I’m sure everyone has a blast and I agree, helping cleaning up at the end of a visit is a good thing:@)
What a great guest room Jenna and I love the tray. Your guests will feel so welcomed and comfortable and who wouldn’t appreciate the thoughtfulness of their hostess………….
thanks Emily! Not everyone gets the tray, but they all get the extra set of sheets 🙂
You are one amazing hostess, Jenna! Do you have a problem with guests staying too long? I can see how that could happen, you spoiler! 🙂 Great hospitality post!!
we don’t have guests as often as we’d like to because my family always has first dibs and they come a lot! Adult weekends are a real treat for us, so I love to do a little pampering!
What wonderful hostess ideas and I love the sign!
thanks Christine!
Can I be your guest, please! I promise to change the sheets before I leave 😀
