The Organized Life, Cleaning Incentives

I have a little confession to make…
I hate house cleaning…I know you’re thinking, “yeah, who doesn’t” but I seriously hate it
While I was doing laundry I noticed that there was a lot of OLD junk on the shelves the area could use some cleaning up and the dryer was scratched, hmmm…
I have resort to little tricks and incentives to spur myself along…
Like rearranging the furniture, that really helps getting all the dust bunnies up from under the couch…and if there is a project to look forward to
like painting the washing machine…I will zip right through the cleaning part!
Just some blue swirlies to liven things up a bit! A happy surprise when you open the doors~
I wonder what HH is going to think…. he already tells people I will paint anything that doesn’t move…
He’s probably going to think I’ve been at the beach too long
Maybe he won’t even notice!
There’s supposed to be water in a laundry room!
Some of us are quite happy about it~
It seems like the most natural thing in the world! And hey, I did clean and straighten the shelf and threw a ton of old crap stuff away…I even cleaned out under the kitchen sink…and the pantry…
Okay, that’s enough cleaning for one day
let’s go to the beach!
Note: I used Liquitex Glossies Acrylic Paint~the paint can be scratched but with just soft laundry tossed on the dryer it should be fine~ I chose an abstract design so it can be easily touched up. I can also remove it all with “Goof off. ”

Is there such a thing as being at the shore for too long??? It turned out cute:@)
Too cute! I seriously hate housework of any kind. I am pretty sure I was a queen or something in a former life.
hahahahaha, yeah, me too!!
Love what you did to make “cleaning” bearable…love the beach and anything that goes with it.
thank you! I have to trick myself constantly!
Fun and cute idea. You have started a trend.
Have a great week.
thank you Bonnie!
I love your solution, Jenna, for scratched appliances!! Plus, the design just makes me happy. You’re just so creative. Did you hubby notice?? I hope so!
Thanks Kitty, and NO he hasn’t noticed yet, even though he grabs stuff from in there all the time! My son noticed and just laughed and said “I’ve never heard of anyone painting their dryer before” 🙂
So clever and fun for your seaside abode Jenna! Who wouldn’t want to enjoy the ocean waves with the laundry ?! I am the world’s worst housekeeper, the dust bunnies thrive here 🙂
What a cute idea…the possibilities are endless. Will have to keep this in mind when I get bored of my white machines.
ha! It makes me smell every time I open the doors! My husband has still not made a comment about it!
You are so fun,Jenna! I love the new look. Hey, does HH ever go in there? Maybe he won’t notice. Enjoy your spruced up shelf and “characterized” equipment! It looks great. 🙂
HH hasn’t said a word!! He does open the doors all the time to get cleaning stuff and towels…he will all of a sudden say something like I like your dress, and it will be something I’ve had for years! Men!
That’s the way! Haha! Oh, well…you gotta love ’em.
How fun! Life at your house must be so colorful! I love it! Thanks for sharing at my Creative Ways Link Party! Hope to see you again this week!
Blessings,
Nici
