Instead of fast food fried onion rings, try this crazy twist~
Wrap a piece of bacon around several thick slices of onion
leave 2 or 3 of the outer rings together and remove the smaller inner rings and reserve for another use
Gently stretch the bacon so one piece will wrap the entire ring
place rings on a medium hot grill, watching carefully or bake on a foil lined baking sheet at 350 for about 30 minutes until bacon is crisp
The onion is soft and sweet and the bacon is crispy and salty
These are surprisingly light! If you only eat one 😉
