Recipe Box, Breakfast on a Stick!

Everyone in my family is pretty much a type “A”…we don’t sit around much…especially in the morning
Weekend mornings on the coast usually mean fishing, so I came up with this grab and go breakfast for the guys~
Breakfast on a Stick!
Even non breakfast eaters can’t resist these~
An almond butter sandwich square on healthy raisin bread, blueberry bagels spread with strawberry cream cheese, bananas, melon, strawberries, Blue Raspberry Bread, pastries and a donut hole!
You could easily add a folded bacon strip too…
A little something for everybody!
cream cheese, strawberries, bananas, melon, and fresh almond butter
homemade Blue Raspberry Bread, rugala, donut holes, and blueberry bagels from the bakery
Spread whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread with almond butter to make sandwiches and cut into 1/6ths…you don’t want to cut them too small or they might not stay on the skewer
Spread bagels with cream cheese, I used low fat strawberry
Cut into 1/8ths
I cut the Blue Raspberry Bread into thick cubes, using the denser end pieces
and to keep things healthy, hahahahahaha, I cut the rugala in half
You can make them all the same as in this “Everything” kebab, that has a bite of all the ingredients
Or you can customize
The “Fruit Lover”
“The Sweet Tooth”
“Berry Bonanza”
And one for the kiddos made on a straw
Talk about eye candy!
These can be prepped ahead of time too, you can make the sandwiches and bagels and refrigerate overnight
Cube the melon ahead or buy it already cut, and just quickly assemble in the morning
I suppose I could just hand them a hard boiled egg, but that wouldn’t be nearly as much fun!
So many possibilities here, this concept is perfect for those hectic back to school mornings, and would be a fun addition to any brunch or buffet...
I am already thinking about lunch on stick~hmmmmmmm……
We also had some great dinner kebabs over the weekend, Chicken and Smoked Sausage with Peaches and Apricots…they were pretty swoonworthy, so I will be back with that recipe soon!
Thanks for having breakfast here today!
