Creations, Quick Table Re-do

This little table had paint splatters on it, and was just hanging out in the garage collecting junk

HH wanted a TV tray table for the den when he cozies up in front of  the TV…hmmmmmm

A quick coat of Annie Sloan Graphite*…no, it doesn’t completely cover but I was going with the vintage look 🙂

How about stripes?  I like them kinda wonky~ besides, if you try to paint a straight line on wicker you will be pulling your hair out

I used a flat square tipped brush and just pulled it across the table following the wicker rows

I used ASCP Paris Grey for the stripes.  You could use any paint for a project like this, I just happened to have quarts of these grays left from another project

The table blends right in with the gray patterns in the den

And HH can pull it right up to his chair when he wants to

I actually think it looks quite good!

And it was free!

Don’t you love a 30 minute project?

That is the advantage of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, it drys so quickly, you don’t have to wait very long between coats~

Look around, I bet you’ve got a little something that you could update somewhere~

Get out your paint brush!

I love your update to your “new” TV tray table Jenna! The stripes and color look great with your patterned rug 🙂

  2. Looks great, Jenna. I love that the paint doesn’t completely cover the wicker. Nifty tv tray!

I have a table just like that except it is round. You’ve given me a great idea. What I’m in love with is your metal ball Where did you find it???

  6. Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I
can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure
where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions?

    Thank you

    • I recommend WordPress as your host, it is very user friendly. I took a few days without any distractions to set it up and figure it out. Once you get going you will learn as you go, good luck!

  7. I’m a firm believer in the power of paint! Love!

  8. Cute! It really matches that rug, too! 🙂

  10. What a great tip! Hello, my name is Misty, from The LadyPrefers2Save at http://theladypreferstosave.com, and I’m one of the new co-hosts for the Merry Monday Linky Party! Thanks for linking up at the Merry Monday’s Linky Party this week. Have an awesome week!

  11. Jenna, you’ve done it again! I love that every time HH uses this table, he’ll remember the TLC you put into it. It looks great and I love the white tray! When are coming down again to my neck of the woods? We need to update some things together!

    • Ha! I wish he would even notice the change!! We usually just come down for long weekends in the fall, so I probably won’t be able to catch another meeting for a while 🙁 Let me know what you want to work on~
