Tablescapes, Summer’s End

With Labor Day coming up next weekend, Kathleen over at Cuisine Kathleen has issued a Farewell to Summer Table Challenge      🙁   sigh, I hate to say goodbye to summer…

So I’m keeping it around for a while!

These painted glasses were partly inspired by a nautical blue and white rope

Well

I just had to bring it to the table

coiled into “placemats”

I had just enough for 2 place settings

But I didn’t cut the rope because I was just “borrowing” it from the pool deck

The water has been especially turquoise lately

Jenna, Is that new boat added to your fleet cruising with a wine bottle at the table? Love all the blue shades and sparkling turquoise glass, perfect with the beautiful backdrop of water! You’re so stinkin’ creative, using your rope coiled into placemats! Wishing you smooth sailing and calm seas for your Labor Day weekend!

  2. That is perfect for a tablescape beside the water! Just gorgeous.

Thank you for holding on to summer. It seems like it just started and here we are thinking about fall. I’m just not ready. Love your blues and turquoises playing off a backdrop of water and the placemats are clever to say the least. Wonder what the hubby would have to say if I painted his boat lines!

  4. All the blues and turquoises are so perfect for a summer table. But Summer isn’t over till the third week of September, and I for one am going by the mercury instead of the calendar! I think it is going to be Summer for a while yet, especially in Alabama. So I would use this fantastic table for at least another month, maybe even longer. That beach setting is so fantastic!

Oh Jenna, I could just dive right into this lovely, cool & colorful tablescape! My very most favorite color in all the world is turquoise/blue. It was the crayon I wore down the most in school. LOL

  23. Oh the colors of your luscious tablescape and that VIEW – all to DIE for pretty!

Please enjoy a safe holiday weekend.

  24. Ann K says:

What a great idea for placemats!!! The whole table is sparkling in the sun. It reminds me of seeing something shiny on the bottom of the blue ocean water and how it shimmers with the sun.
So Pretty!! Nice job putting this all together.

  25. You have a knack for thinking out of the box. The rope placemats are great and I loved that you shared the pic of the rope in it’s intended use. The glass bubble bowls look great out in the sun. Around here Labor Day signals the end of tourist season and we get our beach back with plenty of sunny days to come. Enjoy!
