Tablescapes, Tapas in the Vineyard
Un jour sans vin est comme un jour sans soleil
A day without wine is like a day without sunshine~
Celebrate the magic light of the fall season with tapas in a vineyard
Simple pleasures like bread and cheese
Grapes and figs
surrounded by a centerpiece of seasonal colors and texture
It’s easy to dry roses, just hang them upside down before they start dropping petals and leave them alone for a few weeks
There are spinach and artichoke purses [from the frozen food section]
and freshly baked Antipasto Cocktail Cupcakes*
tucked under a dome
A box of corks and a bowl of salted cashews
and pistachios
Varied textures and wine colors compliment the silver and pewter pieces
Garlic, kale, parsley and plums
Nothing fancy or difficult
Just a little ambiance…
Open the wine
The rest will take care of itself!
One of my favorite wines is this Mer Soleil Silver
There will be plenty of sunshine today!

hi Ellen, it is widely available, Western in Vestavia and Whole Foods usually have the best price, but it’s available at Target 280 and Publix at Lee Branch~ it’s an unoaked chard, I think you’d love it!

This is my idea of a great lunch! I love bread, cheese, grapes and apples for lunch. It’s my favorite! Of course, a glass of wine is always welcoming!

This is a really impressive setup, Jenna. I like it that you were able to use pieces given to you as wedding gifts. They helped create a gorgeous table! I really like the addition of the dried roses, too. It gives the table a kind of old world look. You did a really, really great job. Have a fantastic weekend!
Gorgeous Post!! Everything looks just beautiful!! I just threw out some roses my husband gave me for our anniversary – I wish I had read this about a 4 days earlier!! almost a shame that the food has to be consumed it looks like pieces of art, if it tastes as good as it looks- you are a true master!
oh, thank you Ann, this means a lot coming from you! I can’t bear to throw out roses, so I always dry them…they are still delicate but you can use them if you’re careful. I have read about perserving them other ways, but if it’s too complicated I won’t do it 🙂
