Tablescapes, I Want My Mummy!
Ghosts, goblins and ghouls oh my!
The only thing missing are bats flying by
A wise old owl surveys the scene
Of all things scary Halloween
A vampire grins on a glassy plate….I hope his bite won’t be your fate!
And look there’s more
for the owl to see
From his cheesy nest above the revelry
Mummies and ghosts and spider webs
Scary faces and green scarred heads!
The wicked witch wants outta here!
Maybe she’ll be lured back with a mug of tea
Or better yet a Blood Orange Mar-tin-eeeeee!
Sugar syrup around the rim
will glue the sprinkles firmly in
You can brew these up with Vodka or Gin
Or keep them simply extra virgin!
Blood Orange Martinis are tempting and cool
But have plenty of garlic
So the vampires don’t drool!
The table is set and the fun awaits
For 4 brave souls to eat off these plates!
I want my Mummy!
Note: I used SanPellegrino Sparkling Blood Orange Beverage
You can mix it with vodka or gin to taste*, for a devilish concoction!!
*I tried it with a dash of Triple Sec and thought it tasted like the devil 😮

What a fiendishly clever table! I love those Pellegrino sodas — very tasty. I discovered a while ago that they are fantastic mixers with rum or vodka. Hadn’t thought about using triple sec, but I think I added some Limoncello once to the lemon variety.
Limoncello sounds good with lemon Pellegrino Ellen! I didn’t like the Triple Sec, just a dash of vodka~
Cute! But I’ll have to admit, it was those scalloped potatoes that really caught my eye first. I must be hungry. But I did eat breakfast… lol

Thanks Amanda! As I mentioned in the post, I didn’t like it with Triple Sec, but it was good with a little vodka. Also Mary said it’s good with champagne for a blood orange mimosa, doesn’t that sound good!

I got the glasses at Olde Time Pottery a couple of years ago~but I also paint them. The mugs came from Home Goods this year

Thanks Alycia!! I actually didn’t paint these glasses, I found them on super clearance a while back, cheaper than I could buy and paint them myself. Good news about the Cheetos, I discovered that if you leave them out in a bowl for a few hours in a humid climate while you take pictures, they will get stale and you won’t eat them!! 🙂
This table is so fun! I love how you added the infusion of neons. It’s always such a task to find a new approach to Halloween, but this really fits the bill… 🙂
