Gifts from the Kitchen, Dinner in a Stocking!

Have you and your little reindeers finished your Christmas shopping?
Need a simple gift for a friend or neighbor?
Kick up a bottle of wine by putting it in a blingy stocking with a few other goodies
This was a hostess gift I brought to a BFF [who always seems to have a lot of issues]
I tucked the wine and cranberry cheese log into the stocking and added the pillow, crackers, a large candy cane ornament and a sparkly holiday pick
She LOVED it!
You can also fill a stocking with a recipe and the ingredients to make it. This is a great gift for a couple or a family
All you need is a favorite recipe that has mostly non perishable ingredients and a stocking
My Loaded Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili can be made with or without meat, so you can leave the option up to the recipient
This will be most appreciated on a busy holiday evening or a lazy Sunday afternoon
This card printed clearly, but I can’t seem to take a proper photo ^^’
To make a printable recipe card you can use Picmonkey. Take a screen shot of the recipe and upload it into Picmonkey and open a blank design page. Add a frame if you wish and any special instructions with the text editor. Save it to your computer. Open image and size it to 4″X 6″ or 5″x 5,” before printing on card stock
This gift is sort of like taking dinner to a friend except they will cook it when they need it~
Wrapping can elevate the simplest gift into a Wow, thanks so much gift!
Who knew beans could be so fancy schmancy?

Love your stocking hostess gifts Jenna! I have a stash of wine and bags for last minute gift giving but the stockings make it so much more festive. Thanks for the tip on printing your recipe cards 🙂
Very clever!
I’m sure your friend loved her goodies and had no “issue” with opening the bottle to share:@)

Thanks Sheila!
Clever ideas. I especially like the recipe/ingredient combination. In fact, that’s one I’d like to get.
You are so clever to use stockings to “wrap” your gifts. And I love the idea of giving a “meal.” Seriously… how wonderful that will be as a go-to on a busy night for your gift recipient.
