Tablescapes, Ice Skating Snowmen

It’s still snowing in my dining room
And skating snowmen have arrived to zoom
Around a mirrored pond amid piles of snow
See their faces all aglow!
The whole family has turned out today
For some skating fun and snowy play
Snowmen plates and polka dot saucers
Mix and match with the hand Painted Chargers
There are a lot of striped scarves of white and red
And the salad arrived on a little red sled
Silvery jars have an ornament hat
And a white furry collar* underneath that
Lots of snowmen friends have gathered about
Even some sledders have come out
The month of January is long and cold
We’ll need lots of soup and mugs to hold
Winter treats and comfort eats!
I hope January flies right by this year, and brings NO snow to us down here!

Juicy Details
* the white fur collars on the silver jars are cuffs cut off of CC’s Christmas tights…she would have no part of the furry trim 😊
The silver Ball jars were made with a light coat of silver spray paint, then some silver glitter spray and then lightly sanded here and there
The napkin rings are a length of button burlap ribbon
Check out the underside of your placemats, there is often a solid fabric on the back. These black placemats are the back side of some old paisley ones

Acrylic Snowmen/ ?? I have had them for years, they were all the rage once upon a time~

Jenna, Love your rhyming fun and skating snowmen! Your creative mind must never stop with how you repurposed the cuffs from CC’s Christmas tights for your silver jars 🙂 The temperatures are plummeting, I need lots of warm cups of cheer and comfort food!

A very cute table! Lovin’ the skating snowmen. We had snow all day yesterday, luckily it was just pretty to look at and didn’t cause too much trouble:@)

Your charming snowman table is perfect for this snowy January morning in Ohio. I love snowmen on the table for a happy breakfast of french toast or a delightful lunch of steaming tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Exactly what we have planned for today! Snowmen and all!

This would be perfect on my table today as Maine is frozen over! Unfortunately, the snow is too icy to do any snowman building so the pretend ones would have to do! You’re off to a good start in 2015.

hi Holly, I got the snow at Pottery Barn maybe 5 years ago or more? I just put it back it the box and use it again and again~ I have seen kosher salt used too, and cotton balls~
