Creations, “Doodle” Bottles

I call these Doodle Bottles because they remind me of doodling, you know just mindlessly making patterns and marks with a pen…

These bottles are just as easy as doodling, and they certainly don’t have to be perfect.  They are just funky little folk art bud vases or decorative bottles

I have been saving these gray bottles from one of my favorite wines,  because I think they are so pretty and wanted to reuse them

I decided to experiment with some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

The middle bottle, above, is painted Paris Grey and the 2 outside bottles are painted with Old White.  Below all 3 bottles were painted with Paris Grey, silver paint pen, and pink and white paint

I tried a variety of designs, and experimented with silver and gold paint pens, and a little paint

I even left one totally plain, center.  It’s painted with ASCP French Linen, a perfect match for these warm gray bottles

These bottles play dress up well too 🙂

Juicy Details

The wine bottle is Mer Soleil Silver, a California Chardonnay

I used Krylon gold and silver leaf pens from Amazon.com here and acrylic paints to add the patterns

So fun Jenna, I love the whimsy of your bottle vases! You must sleep with your paintbrush by your bed to grab and go in the morning 🙂 I love those Mer Soleil bottles too and recycled a couple for a wine light torch and bottle tree.

These are so cute! The bottles are really nice. I should drink more wine so I can make vases, but then I would just go to sleep.

I love these. Each bottle has such personality! Paint pens make paint doodling seem as easy as doodling on paper with a pen. What fun you’ll have with these fancy bottles! 🙂
