After a challenging winter, Spring will be most welcome this year
Last year I made an Watering Can wreath to encourage April Showers
This year I am celebrating the arrival of Spring with a whimsical wreath full of “daisy fairies” inspired by the delightful world of Patience Brewster
Patience is an extraordinary artist with an unparalleled imagination. She creates figures and fantasies that are unexpected and delightful~ her pigs have wings, and her zebras don bow ties, and her reindeer love high heels…
Since I recently found out my style was SASSY I decided to take a little inspiration from Patience Brewster and create something for Spring fun
Patience Brewster has all kind of whimsical creatures, and not just for Christmas!
According to their web site, “a sure sign of Spring is seeing warthogs in pastels! ”
I fell in love with the owl on the swing so I used it for inspiration for my Crazy Daisy Wreath
I surrounded my owl with daisy fairies~
Faces are painted on craft discs and stones and glued on to faux daisy blooms. Other daisies sport centers of rosebuds
Patience Brewster creations are full of unexpected combinations, so in an effort to mimic her delightful element of surprise
I added a colorfully painted bicycle
with a polka dot seat
and a chandy
a patio swing
and a candelabra
I started with a grapevine wreath and added a smaller spring wreath inside
A colorful metal owl hopped in the center and I added lengths of stiff sparkly green ribbons
The garden swing sits to the side, since my owl is much too big for this delicate swing
Some of the daisies have rosebud centers
Because after all, they are Crazy daisies!
This promise of spring is perfect inside or outside~
Nothing can make spring smiles arrive any faster than a big blue owl surrounded by daisy fairies and a candelabra!
