Party Panache, Chalkboard Flower Pots
I found these pots and thought they were super cute,
“wish I’d thought of this,”
and fabulous
A terra cotta flower pot painted pink, then the base painted with chalkboard paint~ imagine the possibilities!
They would be easy to make, but for $6 each, I scooped them up
Just what I needed for CC’s birthday party to decorate the cake table
I used chalk ink pens and added the C. Practice with a pen on paper first until you’re confident, then make a thin letter outline with the point tip of the pen’s nib. Then go back and fill in the fatter parts, adjusting the shape if necessary as you fill in. The greatest thing about chalk ink pens is that if you make a mistake, you can wipe it off* and do it again~
I outlined the C in pink and added some grass with yellow and green, and pink polka dots
CC’s mom requested tulips for the party, but I had to try them with roses that I happened to have
Nothing makes me happier than roses and polka dots!
DD also asked me to do a chalkboard for decoration
I have several chalk boards but they’re big and heavy. I saw this green easel style one at the craft store and knew it would be easy to transport, plus it matched her pink and green theme
I added another candle to her Birthday Banner
And everything is ready to go to the party~
