Welcome to Silverhill Market

This funky little spot is tucked away in Silverhill Alabama, between Fairhope and Robertsdale, about 45 minutes from the beaches

When I pulled up to this polka dot tire rooster, I knew I was going to love this place!

DSC_0002

The Southern Bloggers Jubilee had their May meeting here and we were greeted by eye candy and Southern hospitality everywhere!

DSC_0007

So much to see!

DSC_0003

There’s a market, cafe, boutique and a barn

DSC_0005

and something to see literally on every square inch of the property, inside and out!

DSC_0006

The barn has a red door of course

and is adjacent to a vine covered gated garden

DSC_0033The kitchen is a busy place too, but not for cooking…for perusing all the wonderful goodies to buy

DSC_0036Burlap valances hug the windows and white lights brighten dark corners

DSC_0038There’s everything from marmalade to moonshine

DSC_0039In the cafe you can get a fancy coffee and a piece of homemade cake

DSC_0047The ceilings are galvanized roofing tin and the floors are wooden

DSC_0048You will find lots of characters

DSC_0045And things from the past

DSC_0046Outside there is a bamboo garden with paths, benches and curtains!

DSC_0043This is a cool way to hang groupings, unifying arrangements with large colored frames

Thanks for the link to my post Jenna! I missed a lot during our visit. There was even more to see than what’s in your photos and my photos combined! So much cool stuff! Lots of inspiration too! I will definitely have to go back and take my time going through it all again.

  2. Now I hate that I missed this meeting more than ever! Perhaps you and I could meet there again sometime when you are down this way! Thanks for mentioning SBJ!

  3. This is exactly the sort of place I love to visit! Thanks, Jenna!

This post brought back so many memories. For a decade, we had a condo in Orange Beach, AL. My mother and I had so many adventures–shopping and culinary. Fun post!

I know you loved this outing! I went to a flea market in Florence today, but it was closed. That might have been just as well because I would have a hard time taking anything of size home. I’m likely to get a little behind responding for the next few weeks, but I am checking in.

  6. Judy Pimperl says:

Jenna, you took so many pictures and captured the feel of the place perfectly! I enjoyed this post…it sort of took me back there, again!

Oh what a fun spot Jenna! I keep scrolling up and down the photos, I would have overwhelmed too, delightfully so! I think I might have to have brought home a bird house or some trinket for my potting shed 🙂

  9. Kitty says:

What a fun place, Jenna! There’s so much to see and enjoy around every corner. I would love to visit there.
