Creations, Rudolph! Christmas in July

It’s time for a little Christmas in July! π
Today I am sharing a painting tutorial and a GIVEAWAY opportunity from Patience Brewster!
Let me show you what I’ve been working on
It’s a Christmas stocking for Baby Boy
I “borrowed” Rudolph from my JMdesigns glassware line and enlarged it for this stocking
Rudolph is just a grouping of simple shapes and 4 colors: red, green, light brown, dark brown
An oval for the head
A swoosh for the body
Some fat lines for the legs and antlers
Once the brown dries, add another swoosh or two for the scarf
A red nose and stripes
Now for the GIVEAWAY!!
I love Patience Brewster’s whimsical and crazy-happy designs, so much imagination in all her creations
I have worked with this great company in the past when I created this Crazy Daisy Wreath for their Wreaths for All Seasons event
They are giving away this Dash Away Nicholas Santa candleholder, a $370.00 value,Β for a little Christmas in July fun! They asked me to share this with my readers so you have a chance to win too!

I’ve always wanted to do needlepoint stockings for the kids but my efforts have not been very satisfactory. That may not be all bad as the daughters have different tastes any way.
Cuuuute stocking! I love Christmas in July and if I don’t get busy it will pass me by this year:@)
Jenna, that stocking is going to be such a wonderful heirloom piece for that baby! Needlepoint is something I’ve always admired, but never tried. Your work is beautiful. Now, I’m going to go check out Patience Brewster’s work and your PInterest board. Her Santa is gorgeous!
