Gifts from the Kitchen, Gorzonzola Garlic Butter

How about a nice grilled steak topped with Gorgonzola Garlic Butter

Here’s what you do~

garlic

Roast a head of garlic in foil with olive oil, salt & pepper at 400 for 1 hour

Squeeze roasted garlic cloves out into a bowl and discard papery skin

Add butter and gorgonzola and mash together with a fork

Refrigerate for 30 minutes

Place butter on a piece of plastic wrap and form into a log

Sprinkle with chopped parsley and wrap up

Gorgonzola Garlic Butter

Prep Time 10 minutes
Course condiment
Cuisine American
Servings 10 Tablespoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large head garlic roasted*
  • 1 stick unsalted butter or 1/2 cup, softened
  • 4 oz gorgonzola [I used Italian gorgonzola because it’s nice and creamy]
  • chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Squeeze roasted garlic into a bowl and discard papery skin. Add butter and cheese. Mash together with a fork. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Place butter mixture on a piece of plastic wrap and form into a log. Roll in parsley and wrap tightly. Refrigerate until use.

    This works for me because I’m crazy about anything with gorgonzola. Did you happen to see the easy, easy appetizer recipe I posted last week. It, too, can be made with gorgonzola.

  5. Love the cranberry walnut pinwheels and what a great touch the cheese would add. The butter roll is pretty with the fresh parsley.
