Creations, Easter Basket Pail

Before I even finished my Mardi Gras Bucket I had an idea to easily transform it to an Easter decoration

Mardi gras entry

Deco mesh has a mind of it’s own, but it can fill up a space quickly

If you don’t have enough to completely fill your vessel, you can use paper, bubble wrap, bags or a pillow inside and then cover it with mesh or fabric

The pail handle helps keep the mesh contained

Cut a length of ribbon to cover the handle

Use a shorter piece of ribbon to tie it at the base on both sides

Just a simple half knot will do

I like to use wired ribbon because it can be controlled and stays where you put it

Easter egg picks are inserted randomly in the basket

The mesh holds the sticks in place when inserted through several layers

Now all we need is a big bunny and some Easter grass!

Jenna, Your festive Easter pail centerpiece makes decorating a cinch with your mesh ribbon and egg picks! I some need some short cuts this year with how early Easter is this year…not enough time between the leprechauns and the arrivals of bunnies and chicks!

Hi, Jenna! I LOVE your Easter bucket!! I’ll be off to Michael’s today to get some mesh ribbon. I can always count on you to inspire!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  3. Hello, Jenna. Mesh ribbon does have a mind of its own, but a great decorating staple! Thanks for the Easter inspiration, it comes really early this year!

I have an overabundance of mesh thanks to buying a three roll pack at Costco. I’m thinking I will never use it all! You are always so ahead which is a great reminder for me to start thinking.

  5. So cute, you just keep re-styling that mesh, don’t you? I haven’t had much success with it, it always looks like a mess when I use it. I will have to keep checking on your images and practicing! Thanks so much for sharing over at Celebrate Your Story!
