Take-out Tuesday, His and Hers Pizza Cook-off

HHjr & I decided to have a pizza cook off with a little help from Trader Joe’s and Trader Giotto’s, their cute brand name for all things Italian…

It was sort of a guy versus gal kind of thing…

homemade pizza

His was made with traditional dough, marinara sauce, sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms

DSC_0005

Hers was made with garlic herb pizza dough, alfredo sauce, spinach, artichoke hearts, and 4 kinds of cheese

DSC_0002

His was thin crust, round and cooked on the grill

Italian sausage pizza

Hers was thick crust, rectangular and baked in the oven

Mama Mià, we had a feast!

Funny thing was, he liked mine the best and I liked his the best!!

Both of these pizzas are so easy, you can make them and have them in the oven in the time you’d be waiting for your doorbell to ring…

They both sound delicious. I’ve not made pizza on the grill before, but that’s a great idea! Pizza Oven without all the construction!

  6. So funny about how you both loved each others pizza…they look and sound amazing….now if we were cooking pizzas, i would be making the “meat lovers” one and he would be making the “veggie” one….When we go out to eat, he orders the salad, I order the burger and they often bring out the food and give me his salad…NO!…the burger is mine!

  7. Mary says:

Hi Jenna, I’d like a slice of both pizzas please! I miss having a Trader Joe’s/Giotto’s nearby 🙂

  8. Linda says:

I’ll take one of each please. What I wouldn’t give for a Trader Joe’s around here! Whenever I visit a city that has one, I load my cooler up before I come home!
