Home Decor, Thanksgiving X Two!
There is no Fearless Friday painting this week as I’ve been busy bringing Thanksgiving into 2 homes for the fabulous Thoughts of Home Stunning Vignettes Blog Hop!
It has been great fun participating with this talented group of bloggers, they will inspire your creativity and get you motivated for the holidays!

I am lucky enough to share my time between 2 houses in sweet home Alabama,
One house is formal,
and one house is rather funky
I get to play in two very different worlds…
Twice the work but twice the fun!
Let’s start in the city
Black & white is the base of my holiday decor this year, with cotton bolls and magnolia leaves
Nothing says Southern better than cotton and magnolia
Things are more casual in the kitchen
With more black & white, and a bounty of vegetables on the island
Ready for transforming into an array of fall dishes
Let’s head to the coast now, where the colors are brighter and things are more relaxed
My favorite color turquoise is the base for decor here
Did you know turquoise is sorta the new black, it goes with everything!
Turquoise is fabulous with orange pumpkins and fall colors
The pilgrims arrived by boat, speed boat that is!
The kitchen island is a perpetual buffet, a collage of dishes, “ready to grab snacks” in jars, and pops seasonal decor
And lots of twinkling lights
It’s a crazy happy place!
But I do love to return to a more sophisticated style
And I always count my blessings
and am thankful
Each and every day…

Jenna, I love seeing your two distinct styles of decorating and celebrating the holidays! The black and white is so classic and pretty paired with magnolia and cotton and silver accents from your mercury glass pumpkin and table accessories. I’ve noticed turquoise everywhere this fall paired with pumpkins. It’s the perfect color for your coastal home no matter what the season is. I had to chuckle at “the pilgrims arrived by speed boat” 🙂

Jenna- I love everything and you have just described a dream of mine- two houses, two looks. I am a great fan of traditional decor with a little funk thrown in and I agree wholeheartedly- turquoise is the new black.

Oh my goodness, the city mouse and the beach mouse. I loved this! The black and white with fancy touches is gorgeous. The beach table couldn’t be more fun. I’m in love with the brussel sprouts!

You are amazing! I could stay on this post for an hour taking it all in. Both houses have personality and great design. You are right about aqua going with everything and I had not thought of that really. Love you MC pieces and your buffet spread. Brussels sprouts from the vine are distinctly more tasty.

Wow, how fun to do both houses! I have seen the cotton everywhere, and this is really fun putting it with the silver. Yes, turquoise is gorgeous and you have such fun oranges to go with the turquoise. What a delight!
Oh, they are indeed opposite ends of the spectrum, but I love them both too. The cotton and magnolia leaves are so classically southern and perfect for Fall. However, the whimsy and splashes of turquoise at the beach house is more like my style. You have such a great eye and talent. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Jenna, would you come to my house and help me get ready for Thanksgiving or maybe Christmas? As soon as we got back from Sicily we hit the road to Houston.
