Home Decor, Thanksgiving X Two!

There is no Fearless Friday painting this week as I’ve been busy bringing Thanksgiving into 2 homes for the fabulous Thoughts of Home Stunning Vignettes Blog Hop!
It has been great fun participating with this talented group of bloggers, they will inspire your creativity and get you motivated for the holidays!
Whether you are following the hop schedule and coming from Simple Nature Decor, or just dropping in for a visit, welcome!
All the hop links are at the end of the post in case you missed some this week…
I am lucky enough to share my time between 2 houses in sweet home Alabama,
One house is formal,
and one house is rather funky
I get to play in two very different worlds…
Twice the work but twice the fun!
Let’s start in the city
Black & white is the base of my holiday decor this year, with cotton bolls and magnolia leaves
Nothing says Southern better than cotton and magnolia
Things are more casual in the kitchen
With more black & white, and a bounty of vegetables on the island
Ready for transforming into an array of fall dishes
Let’s head to the coast now, where the colors are brighter and things are more relaxed
My favorite color turquoise is the base for decor here
Did you know turquoise is sorta the new black, it goes with everything!
Turquoise is fabulous with orange pumpkins and fall colors
The pilgrims arrived by boat, speed boat that is!
The kitchen island is a perpetual buffet, a collage of dishes, “ready to grab snacks” in jars, and pops seasonal decor
And lots of twinkling lights
It’s a crazy happy place!
But I do love to return to a more sophisticated style
And I always count my blessings
and am thankful
Each and every day…
I sincerely wish that you have a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving-
Thank you so much for your visit!
Thank you Laura, Stacey, Jemma and Laura for hosting this blog hop!

Jenna, I love seeing your two distinct styles of decorating and celebrating the holidays! The black and white is so classic and pretty paired with magnolia and cotton and silver accents from your mercury glass pumpkin and table accessories. I’ve noticed turquoise everywhere this fall paired with pumpkins. It’s the perfect color for your coastal home no matter what the season is. I had to chuckle at “the pilgrims arrived by speed boat” 🙂
Thank you Mary! It’s finally cooling off here, I hope you are enjoying some crisp fall days too-
Jenna- I love everything and you have just described a dream of mine- two houses, two looks. I am a great fan of traditional decor with a little funk thrown in and I agree wholeheartedly- turquoise is the new black.
Thank you for joining our Thanksgiving Vignette tour this week.
I am delighted you did.

Thank you for hosting Laura! You all are such gracious hostesses, and your time and energy are much appreciated! It’s been a wonderful tour!
Jenna, I LOVE this! “I get to play in two very different worlds” – indeed, much to be thankful for, and sounds like a dream come true. I also love the line, “the kitchen island is a perpetual buffet”. That speaks volumes for your love of home and family! Have a great weekend.
Thank you Rita, much appreciated-
Oh my goodness, the city mouse and the beach mouse. I loved this! The black and white with fancy touches is gorgeous. The beach table couldn’t be more fun. I’m in love with the brussel sprouts!
Thank you for joining us. 🙂
Thank you so much for hosting Stacey, during this busy time for you! I hope your dream home does get built in 6 months and you are settled down enjoying it!
Oh how nice! Love love love it! Everything looks absolutely perfect Jenna. I love the large run of brussel sprouts that’s so creative and your leaf dishes..You did a wonderful job.
Thank you Christine, can you believe we ate all those Brussels sprouts in a matter of days, the other veggies too, I need to replenish the buffet!
Jenna your tour is “twice as nice”! You have decorated each of your homes so beautifully. I have to admit that the turkey made of gourds has truly captured my heart. So, so clever. Thank you SO very much for creating such wonderful vignettes for the tour.
Thank you Laura, the blog hop was so much fun and really motivated me to get in gear for the holidays! You all are such gracious hostesses, thank you for all your hard work and time-
Jenna
Jenna, I love both homes, two different styles allows so much creativity! Your MC is always so perfect and you are right, what is more Southern than cotton and magnolia. The beach house is always so fun, and your Thanksgiving vignettes are so creative! Have a great weekend and Roll Tide!
Thank you Pam, MC goes with everything! I bet you are really enjoying your new perogola now with these cooler temps! RTR
Jenna, not everyone could pull this off, creating such loveliness times two! You have so much talent you need at least two houses. I love the formal and the funky at the beach and how different they are. Coming to visit you I always come away with inspiration. Enjoy the weekend………..
Oh Emily, thank you so much, I love to hear that I have inspired! I am so lucky to have these playgrounds and a family, especially my husband, that tolerates perpetual change 🙂 Happy weekend and enjoy this lovely weather!
You are amazing! I could stay on this post for an hour taking it all in. Both houses have personality and great design. You are right about aqua going with everything and I had not thought of that really. Love you MC pieces and your buffet spread. Brussels sprouts from the vine are distinctly more tasty.
Magnolia and cotton are indeed so southern!
All your vignettes display your creative style.
Thank you Bonnie, I was thrilled to find that stalk of Brussels at Trader Joe’s for $3.99! We ate them all very quickly too, love them! Thanks for the sweet comments and happy weekend!
I love how you have two spaces to play with! And I love the looks of both of them for different reasons — they appeal to both my whimsical, relaxed side and my love the elegance side! And I still think those sprouts make the best table runner and I’m co-opting Rick’s for Thanksgiving!
Thanks Jeanie, having 2 houses is kind of like having 2 canvases to paint!
Amazing and so beautiful Both of your styles are so pretty. You really do have the magic touch, your decor is stunning in both styles.
Thank you Marty!
Thank you for a peek into your two lovely homes. It’s fun to see them side by side and how your talent is reflected in both of them with different decor!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Jenna. I know you will be busy, but surrounded by your family will keep you smiling, I am sure!
Rosie
Thanks Rosie, I’m not hosting this year so I feel like I’m on vacation! Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family-
Jenna, you are the styling queen. You are so gifted to create beautiful vignettes. Love the pilgrims…so darn cute. Two houses must be so much fun. To create different looks is wonderful. I don’t know how you do it all. The black and white is truly classic, however I adore the aqua. Have a great weekend.
Thank you Linda, it is fun to have a contrast and change, even though sometimes I feel like a bit of a nomad 🙂 Thanks for your lovely comments. >
Very pretty Jenna! I love your little Pilgrims and Indians:@)
Just received a cotton wreath as a gift. You’ve inspired me in using it on the table Jenna! Thank you! And it is not packed away!

Very thankful indeed. Just beautiful!
You home is gorgeous, love the staircase, In love with the gold pumpkin. Its been a grand pleasure being in this tour with you.
Maria
so much loveliness!!!!
Wow, how fun to do both houses! I have seen the cotton everywhere, and this is really fun putting it with the silver. Yes, turquoise is gorgeous and you have such fun oranges to go with the turquoise. What a delight!
Oh, they are indeed opposite ends of the spectrum, but I love them both too. The cotton and magnolia leaves are so classically southern and perfect for Fall. However, the whimsy and splashes of turquoise at the beach house is more like my style. You have such a great eye and talent. Thanks for the inspiration!!
You are so welcome, Hope, thanks for dropping by! >
You have been one busy lady, and mastered beautifully decorating both styles of your home! I love them both! My favorite is the assembly of gourds and such on the script printed runner with the black and white buffalo check accents… gorgeous! 🙂 ~Rhonda
Thank you Rhonda, the hop got me motivated for sure! On to Christmas! >
Jenna, would you come to my house and help me get ready for Thanksgiving or maybe Christmas? As soon as we got back from Sicily we hit the road to Houston. My head is spinning, but maybe when we get there I can settle down enough to think about what comes next. As always, I love seeing your creative expression.
Thank you Linda! I know it must be overwhelming to come home from your trip and have the holidays hit you in the face! You have a great knack for simplifying yet keeping things elegant, so I have no doubt you will manage beautifully! I have really enjoyed your travels, the cannoli today just about did me in! >
Wow, everything is so pretty and fun. But you might need to get a third house to store all your Thanksgiving stuff 🙂
Jenna, it’s so much fun to see your homes decorated for Thanksgiving! Your black and white is elegant, and I love the chair sashes with the cotton. I’ve begun decorating for Christmas because we might just go to the lake for Thanksgiving…..we haven’t decided yet!
Thanks Ricki Jill, the lake sounds like a perfect spot for Thanksgiving! >
It may be twice the work but I know you must really enjoy having the two very different looks. I love them both and they go well in each home.
Thanks Karen! >
