Until I stumbled upon this…

A hole in the sofa  😱

Isn’t that always the case, just when you think everything is all Jingle Bells   🎶

You step in Snowman Poop

I have been a very good girl this year…

And actually Santa, this is where you sit…

So I’m thinking, maybe you could throw a new sofa on your sleigh

like a sectional from Arhaus here

You know just to keep everything HO HO HO happy

And not rock the boat….

Your comfort is what I care about most,  you know…

And lots of sparkle for the days ahead

Now, all we need is a new sofa, will one fit on your sled?”

christmas-pillows

You might be thinking, surely they don’t need a new sofa, and perhaps that worn area could be patched or something, but full disclosure is that on one end the seat springs are worn out too…HH’s favorite spot for watching TV and reading, he’s flat worn it out!

Our room isn’t really suited for a sectional, but this dreamy sofa  would work

Arhaus has all kinds of really cool stuff, like live edge and root wood slab tables

What is on your wish list this year?

  1. Hi Jenna, Santa’s sleigh is going to be too full for your sofa because I’m asking him for a new car (hohoho)! I haven’t been so good though, so chances are I won’t be getting it. Come to think of it now, I have a sofa in one room that needs replacing too! Maybe we will each get one! 🙂 Linda

  2. Lorraine says:

Your home is so beautifully decorated! I especially love that little crab pillow. I asked Santa for some sliding glass doors so we can make an exit to (what would eventually be) a nice deck out back. I don’t know what’s bigger, the door or the bag of money it will cost to buy it. lol

    • Oh that sounds like a great idea, I hope Santa can work that out! We are still recovering from redoing the pool deck which wasn’t planned, so I’ve been telling my kids Merry Christimas, you got a new deck 🙂

  3. Jenna, your beach house is dressed to the nines in festive attire. Since you have been so good, I bet you will get a new sofa! Happy Sunday!

  4. Jodi says:

Hoping Santa reads your blog! You will be one lucky girl if you get that new sofa! 🙂 Lovely lovely Jenna! 🙂

  5. Mary says:

Jenna, I hope Santa delivers your sofa! Maybe you can persuade him with an extra plate of cookies or two 🙂

  6. Rosie M. says:

If you approach your Santa letter the right way, like, “You do know the sofa is the heart of the living area, and so important for snuggling grandbabies and sharing quiet reading and TV viewing moments”, I do believe Santa would rent an oversized sled and get that sofa to you in time for Christmas! Good luck, Jenna! Rosie

  7. Ellen says:

Cute! Hope you get what you want! I actually would like a new kitchen, a sunroom, new flooring in parts of the house, and and and and and…

Probably all this won’t fit on the sleigh though.

    • hahaha! I actually don’t want a new sofa, because it won’t match the love seat and then I’ll have to get rid of that too, and then I’ll probably hate the chairs and on and on! I just got everything just the way I wanted it, agh! I hope Santa comes through for you too! >

  8. Adorable. And I hope Santa gets the message. Actually, I’d be glad if he’d bring me one, too — mine’s getting a little saggy! (Of course, the old one is to go to the cottage to replace an even OLDER one, so that might have to wait till spring!)

Lots of pretties, I spy there!

    Congratulations.

  10. Everything looks as happy as the South Pole – done coastal style! So sorry about the sofa. Couldn’t you patch it? Or prop Pop up in front of it? Whatever you decide to do, it will definitely be jolly.

  11. Kim says:

What fun Christmas decorations you have going there! Once again, I enjoyed your rhyme. I hope Santa listens. Don’t forget to leave a key to the door since there’s no chimney. (I don’t think the sofa would fit down a chimney anyway!) 🙂

    • ha ha, didn’t think of that! Funny thing is we used to have a fireplace, but we never used it and a friend suggested we take it out…he said “you’ve got a thousand dollar fireplace blocking a million dollar view!” He was so right!! Have a great week Kim- >

  12. Kitty says:

You know how I love your rhyming poetry, Jenna, and I think you’ve been a very good girl. I’m sure Santa will be able to fit a perfect sofa on his sled!

  13. What a cute post! Hope Santa will be very good to you and bring you that lovely sofa!

  14. What a fun post! I love turquoise and red. What a fun combination for Christmas! That bottle tree is so cool….I want to make one! You’ve been very good, so I know Santa will have a sectional on his sleigh Christmas Eve!

  15. I love the rowboat with Santa delivering gifts via boat! I do want to let you know that we had a cut on the leather on one of our car seats and we were able to have it repaired so you would never know it ever had a cut…maybe if Santa can’t fit the sofa in your sleigh, maybe that can be an option for you!

    • Thanks Chloe! The real problem is the seat cushion, it’s totally worn out- the set was not expensive but we’ve only had it 3-4 years so I’m disappointed. This is the first time I’m not excited about an excuse to shop, I like it the way it is!

      Jenna

  16. You have been a very good girl, so I am sending a note on your behalf that Santa helps a good girl out!

  17. Sandra Garth says:

You are so clever and I just love how you weave poetry into your posts. I’m hoping Santa can fit a sofa on his sleigh for us also!
