Creations, Powdered Sugar Snowmen & Gingerbread House Table

Do you put your decorations away asap after the holidays or do you let them linger for a while…

I do a little of both, and love to let snowmen and other wintry things stay out to play

Especially white lights

For Christmas Eve Lunch with Santa, I moved some of the Hark the Herald Angels Sing things to make a gingerbread house centerpiece for the kiddos

I did leave an angel or two, to remind them to be good  😇

A sweet snowman treat was at their places for dessert

Donuts, a wedding cookie, pretzel arms, a peanut butter cup hat and icing for their faces and sticking things together

It was tricky getting it to stick on the sugary surface…

But snowmen aren’t supposed to be perfect anyway!

I used gold star covered red cloth dinner napkins, folded in half for the placemats, paper Santa face plates, and candy cane easels for their placecards

He was looking a little lost on the plate, so I elevated them with some cupcake paper cups

The kiddos loved them, and they were gobbled up

They didn’t even make a mess!

  1. Ha, ha, the snowmen turned out cute! And I did bring my (non-edible) ones out for the winter too:@)

  2. Jodi says:

So so sweet. The snowmen and the kiddos. Are all those beautiful kiddos your grands?? I’ll bet a donut whole (munchkin) would work well for the snowman head too 😉

    • No, I have four and my husband’s sister has 7. We have had this Christmas Eve get together every year since we got married and started having our own children. My side of the family all live in CA so it has been wonderful to be so close to my SIL here in AL and have our kids and grandkids grow up together

  3. The fun table with your darling grands is a perfect way to start my day…the sugar snowmen are adorable. You are a fabulous grandmother and I am taking notes! Happy Wednesday, Jenna!

  4. Those are cute. I put away all the red and green, and keep out a few things that are wintery and not necessarily Christmas.

  5. This is amazing, you hosting 10 little ones, and they are all so adorable around the table and with Santa. Oh yea, those snowmen are da bomb!

  6. I do leave a few wintery things out for our cold months of January and February. I have a favorite set of winter scenes dishes I use and little trees. Love your table for the grandchildren, they look so cut and well behaved. The table is gorgeous and the snowmen are adorable! We may get to make real snowmen if James has the weather report spot on. Happy Day…………

    • They are pretty good, and luckily it was a warm day and they could play outside! I have snowmen plates in the cupboard too, but fingers crossed we don’t have the real stuff they are predicting! Time to get back down South 🙂

  7. In my next life, I want to come back as one of your grandchildren Jenna! Magical!

  8. Lynn Bean says:

Those kiddos are adorable! I am sure you had just loads of fun. I like to leave some glitter out to help chase away those winter blahs after Christmas!

  9. It warms my heart seeing the kids at the table. I know they had a blast and loved the snowman treats. They are so cute, Jenna!

  10. Sandy Dehon says:

  12. Someone gave me a million corks for Christmas (not to mention the half-million I had in my own stash — all used!). I was planning on making a wreath with them and maybe some sort of party favor for our wine tasting gig! I love yours. (At least I think yours is corks — or is it clothes pins? I enlarged but couldn’t quite tell!). I was planning on a grapevine backing. You?

All in all an adorable post! And fun to keep the winter chill away!

    • I’m thinking you’re talking about the wreath? It is actually faux birchwood sticks, I got it a HG several years ago. Did you see the wine cork heart on my side bar, that would make a cute wine tasting party favor too. Have fun!

  13. Sally Clem says:

So cute, so precious what you do for the kids! I love seeing the photos. Making memories for all of them. There’s nothing like cousins growing up with such great family get-togethers! You are one good grandmother!

  14. I loved seeing the kids! Adorable! Glad you explained why there were so many! I know they had a blast. Cute and clever snowmen.

  15. Mary says:

Adorable snowmen Jenna! I know the kids loved them! Normally by this time, my tree is down and everything is packed away but my sister was here visiting after Christmas so I’ve been lazy and I’m lingering by the lights a little longer this year 🙂

  16. lulu says:

Your snowmen are just too cute. I’m kinda envious of the kids who got to gather around your table.

  17. omg I love those pics, not just the treats but the grand kids are adorbs Jenna!!! Super cute !! Happy New Year!!!

  18. Helen Adams says:
