Fearless Friday on Thursday

We’re doing Fearless Friday a day early this week because tomorrow I will be hopping with my tablescape buddies with a table for the Spring Tablescape Blog Hop! {see the links below}
With Spring in full swing, let’s do a free & loose watercolor bouquet
I keep an art inspiration Pinterest board of things and styles I like, and refer to it often for ideas
Florals are my favorite, and these provided my start point, especially the one on the left by Erin Gregory
above right top and bottom, are mixed media florals by Christy Kinard
I loved the way Erin cropped the subject, and placing it off center adds interest and intrigue
I let the paint run and drip at will
I gradually built up color depth by layering colors and letting them dry in between layers
Below left, my “Running Roses” below right, floral by Erin Fitzhugh Gregory
A cropped portion of the painting created a whole new abstract design named “Burst of Color”
Burst of Color is perfect for a rectangular pillow
Using another artist’s painting as a start point, I ended up with 2 originals paintings and designs of my own
Running Roses canvas art print
Have fun and Be Fearless!
