Tablescapes, Welcome Summer!

Can you think of a better way

To celebrate summer than with an ice cream sundae?

And flowers of course, oh the power of flowers!

Bloom upon bloom

Fill every room

Come have a seat,

It’s my turn to treat

Bright pink and green make a grand summer team

Dancing Tulips are seen in the view from above

These special tulips  were given in love

They came my way on Mother’s Day

From my sweet son-in-law, the Nicest Guy

He put his arm around DD, and I tried not to cry

Then he said “I just wanted to thank you, you did a great job!”

I felt so lucky, I could feel my heart throb…

My own son surprised me with this decadent cheesecake filled cone

along with a culinary torch so I can make my own!

So stay tuned,

I might have a new fabulous dessert coming up soon!

That Cheesecake Filled Cone looks so delicious! I love those slender long plates (tasting plates maybe?) Just the right size for really rich desserts. I love the Sundae and Flower pillows. Have a great Sunday

    • Thanks Sandra, they are tasting spoons actually, I got them at BBB or Pier 1 several years ago. They are tons of fun to have and use, I need to get them out again soon!

Lovely table, with the tulips and your lovely blooming pillows. You do have a sweeet son-in-law and I certainly agree with him. Going back for inspiration and thinking about making one of the wonderful desserts!

I love pink and lime green! My Mom is a bright or hot pink woman! I’m trying to think of when I last mentioned this, maybe last week? 🙂
This week, I posted three of my grandchildren eating chocolate soft serve ice cream cones with sprinkles. . . I may not be “great” but we have minds which overlap, at least. 😉

Oh Jenna, I loved seeing all the blooms around your home, but the tulips melted my heart, with the words from your son in law. I’m still tearing up from those most meaningful words. You must adore him! Your son sure knows you well, and I’ll look forward to some yummy desserts.

  11. Ok this table is definitely a Mom’s red carpet to summer. Two gorgeous colors paired together plus gorgeous flowers. The pink and green are wonderful together!

  12. What a sweet son in law. I love your pink and green table and the lovely tulips as well as all your lovely painted flowers.

  14. The pink and green are so fresh and pretty. It reminds me of all of the fun Lily Pulitzer prints! Perfect for summertime! Thanks for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
