Take-out Tuesday, Easy Weekend Meal Idea

I have to share my new favorite find with you for this week’s Take-out Tuesday

Trader Joe’s Tzatzki Creamy Garlic Cucumber Dip

It is so loaded with thin, fresh, cucumber slices you will think you made it yourself…

Don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby?  No problem!

You can also easily make your own by adding thinly sliced cucumber to any creamy dressing like Ranch, or make it from scratch with Greek yogurt and spices.  Recipes included below

Trader Joe’s is technically called a dip, but it makes a great salad dressing or sandwich sauce.  Don’t be put off by the label of creamy garlic, the garlic is subtle, not overwhelming

HHjr surprised me with a wonderful grilled chicken Tzatziki gyro after attending a very important dance recital last week

He grilled chicken, sliced it and put it on toasted naan bread, and of course you can substitute beef or lamb for the chicken

Top with Tzatzki Sauce, fresh lettuce

and diced tomato

Ok, are you starting to figure out that I forgot to take photos…

So I’m kinda faking it here, but you get the idea…

I had a busy busy week

This makes a fantastic lunch or dinner

Fresh, Easy, Heaven!

I always love hearing what are some favorites of others at TJ’s, Jenna. I will look for that dip the next time I’m in there. Although, I do have an English cucumber and some ranch in my fridge right now. The easy sandwich looks so tasty. You always share the best recipes! I’ll be making this soon.

I loved seeing those cutie pie, ice cream cone eating kids, too!

  8. Jenna, This looks so delicious and easy! I love naan bread and cukes too. I can see why you had no time for photos of the sandwiches when you had much more important things to photograph — baseball games, ballerinas and ice cream breaks! The kids are adorable and growing so fast! Linda

Sounds so good Jenna! Love your little ballerina and ball player too 🙂
