Tablescapes, Sand Dollars and Starfish

A parade of boats is a common sight

from our back porch,  day or night…

Southern sea breezes make it nice to dine

and we linger here most all the time

Seahorses, starfish and a beachy bottle with glass

Are part of the view as we watch the boats pass

Lots of sparkle in the summer sun

A sand dollar bottle, just for fun

Napkins tied with shells and twine

And shell covered forks and goblets for wine

Coconuts fill up the boat

With more large shells and a blue glass float

Our friend Freddy the blue heron, loves the porch too

Do you think he likes the view too?

But if we come outside, he’ll fly off into the blue…

I hope you have a breezy day!

  7. Falling in love with your heron! He’s gorgeous — both real and painted! And the colors and setting of your table are my favorites. Love that turquoise. Thanks for many fun links, too!

  8. Jenna, your sand dollar bottle makes a beautiful appearance on this beach Tablescape! If I lived there, I would stay at this table and never move. Love the runner and everything about this table! Freddy is a nice visitor, I really like how you captured him!

  9. Leslie Anne Tarabella says:

Freddy is majestic, but frightens me! We just bought a house with a pool, so I’ll need to step up my beachy-tropical accessories like you!

    • Oh congrats! You will have so much fun!! Freddy is kind of scary but very skiddish! He takes off immediately when he hears anything. My husband actually took this photo through the window, zooming in with his iPhone 7 then I edited it a little…I love to watch him, he’s really a character! Happy swimming! >

What an amazing tablescape and view! Wow, you are lucky. We have a heron who visits our creek and when he takes off his wing span amazes me and scares the heck out of the dog. 🙂

  11. What a great place to sit and enjoy a meal. I love the colors of this seascape tablescape. We have a blue heron pair that hang around the riverbank…..not too pretty when they mess – ewww!

  12. Jodi says:

Did you paint the blue heron or is that waterlogue? LOVE it!!!!

  13. Botanic Bleu says:

    Jenna,
Your sea-inspired table setting is so inviting. I would have a hard time ever going inside.

  14. Mary says:

Jenna, I love your soothing aqua and sparkling blue seaside table! We have a blue heron that fishes from our dock everyday about 5 pm…it drives Chloe nuts when she sees him 🙂

    • ha, I bet! Freddy gets mad when the kiddos are running around and he can’t drink from the pool and nap on the boats because there’s too much activity so he just flies by and squawks at everyone 🙂
