The Organized Life, August Paint Bucket

The August Paint Bucket, my monthly recipe inspiration list of dishes I want to make, is posting a few days early this month because on August 1st I will be joining my Traveling Tote group for some table top fun, so be sure to stop then by for my Art in the Park Picnic

Oh August…such wonderful month, still time to enjoy the best of summer fresh fruits and vegetables, plus we can start to dream about the promise of autumn, cooler temps and favorite fall food and events…

We will be enjoying the last of the summer corn, zucchini & tomatoes this month, but I thought it would be fun to focus on a method this time instead of a flavor…

The flavor/theme of the month for August is Spiralized

You can see photos and recipes of the ideas on my monthly Pinterest board which has pins of the last months bucket list recipes as well and the ones for the current month

Don’t have a spiralizer? Don’t fret, I will share a non-spiralized version of these recipes too

The flavor of the month was Summer Berry, and here are the berry recipes we enjoyed

Summer Salad with Magic Blueberry Dressing from the Painted Apron archives

Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler is a dump and forget slow cooker recipe

Savory Berry Shortcake Bites turned into Strawberry Pie Sticks

I also made versions of the recipes below but they still need some adjustments so I didn’t post them

Berry Monkey Bread from Rhodes Bread inspired a berry monkey bread made with canned biscuits, and even though I saw many posts of this on Pinterest, my biscuits didn’t cook correctly in the bundt pan, some were raw and others not done, so be wary if you try something similar

Breakfast Yogurt Pops from Epicurious I thought were going to be a big hit but they wouldn’t release from the mold, so that’s still a work in progress

We also enjoyed these delicious dishes

Basil & Corn Cakes from Noble Pig were so unique and full of summer flavor, I really didn’t change a thing, you can find my printable here Savory Corn & Basil Pancakes

Slow Cooker Cheesy Broccoli Casserole from McCormick turned into Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole, it was yummy and SO easy!

BLT Pie was adapted from Better Homes & Gardens and it’s a great way to enjoy those ‘maters!

Chocolate Chip Chocolate Bundt turned into Triple Chocolate USA Bundt Cake

Boozy Bushwacker Ice Cream has a surprise in the center, a dollop of Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Sauce

Salted Butterscotch Creme Brûlèe from Malibu Kitchen turned into Salty Caramel Creme Brûlèe

Almond Butter Oat Balls from Two Peas and Their Pod turned into Peanut Butter Power Balls

The Salty Caramel Créme Brûlèe was my favorite this month, easy to make,  just a few tiny decadent bites and  you feel satisfied and not too guilty!
