Tablescapes, The Sun is So Bright, I’ve Gotta Wear Shades
We have had a crazy summer in Alabama, tons of rain and then bright sunshine,
We head to the porch when the weather is fine
And when the sun is out, it’s hot and bright,
Much to this pineapple’s delight!
Have you heard the song, “The Future’s So Bright, I’ve Gotta Wear Shades?” It was a one hit wonder by Timbuk 3 back in the 80s {you can see the lyrics here}
Well, on days like today, you need those shades because of all the rays!
Watermelons, pineapples, sunny colors everywhere
And a Burst of Color pillow for lounging in the chair
Puffy pineapple napkins go along with the theme
and a fish mat upended to make a pineapple shape in green
Celebrate the season with fresh & luscious tropical fruit
There’s still a lot of summer left, so don’t put away that swimsuit!

Yes, I certainly do remember that song. 🙂 Cute setting, and love the rainbow. I guess crazy rain followed by rainbows and bright sunshine are better than hurricanes and destruction, right? We had some crazy cool weather for August this weekend in WV. One thing seems to be constant though – it’s always hot and humid in TX in summer, lol.Great stuff going up on Society6, Jenna.

Love the bright colors of your tablescape! I’ve recently done a couple with these colors too. I used pineapples in one but didn’t think of sunglasses which is super cute! I love your hand painted stemware – you are so talented! We’ve had on and off rain too and tonight we saw a rainbow but very pastel – not so vibrant like the double one you had!
