Somehow I got a cold…

I can’t even blame the grands, they are healthy…

I think it’s stress and exhaustion…

The good news is the water leaks are fixed, 💦  {thank you for all your kind words!}

hurricane season is winding down,   🎉 🍾  🥂

and we finally have some cool temps!  🍁

Let’s take comfort in soup today, and I will show you some crazy cool ways to jazz up your soup game!

Bacon Croutons top Sausage & Tortelloni Stoup with Kale 

{it’s called “stoup” because it’s thick like a stew}

Bacon croutons are 1-2 pieces of crispy bacon along with a small toast, but who can resist?

 

 

Broccoli Soup gets amped up with Cornbread & Ham Croutons

 

 

 

Gruyère & Bacon Croutons are mini mini sandwiches

 

 

Pot of Gold Soup with Lucky Croutons

 

 

Lucky Croutons  are Brussels sprouts wrapped in bacon, they are better than candy!

 

 

Parmesan Squash Croutons are lightly fried in a Parmesan batter

 

 

They are perfect with Roasted Squash & Corn Soup or atop a salad

 

 

Pear & Walnut Croutons are a combo of diced pear, walnut and tiny buttered toast squares, and are delicious sprinkled on just about anything for a pop of sweet and nutty flavor

 

 

These Butternut Squash Ravioli  are great on salad but also soup…

You can pair different ravioli flavors with different soups for endless possibilities

 

 

Rosemary Gruyère Croutons

 

 

Try the French Onion Soup Stuffed Mushrooms with Gruyère and Rosemary Croutons too~

 

 

Grilled Cheese Sandwich Croutons aka Gold Nuggets can be served on top or on the side

 

 

 

Italian Morsi are mini Italian sandwich skewers, perfect paired with Tomato or Minestrone soup

 

 

Winter Warmth Soup with Potato Croutons   {a crispy tater tot topping}

  1. Yummy, Jenna! Glad your water issues are resolved for now, but sorry you have a cold. Sounds like the NYC trip wouldn’t have been much fun while feeling down (silver lining to not going, boo hoo). These recipes look great for soup or stoup. Take care, pamper yourself.

    • ha, that is the first thing I thought of! I have literally been able to do nothing the past 3 days, except draw and read… Emily flies up from Alabama today, hopefully they all will miss us! Looks like a perfect weekend in NYC, they will have so much fun…

    Love the endless soup toppings and croutons Jenna. I think summer (-> it will be back to 80 again this weekend *sigh*) colds are the worst! Glad to hear your water issues are fixed. Enjoy some R&R.

    That’s a good sounding comfort soup, so I hope you fill a bowl to the top, sit in your favorite chair and relax. I’m feeling a cold coming on and am stressing because I leave for India in a couple of days and don’t want to feel bad.
