The Organized Life, November Paint Bucket

November…already??
Are you hosting Thanksgiving? Maybe bringing a dish?
Our Thanksgiving plans are still being determined, but no matter what we do or where we are, we will be cooking up something!
My husband and son both love to cook, and so do I, but I am happy to turn over the kitchen to them any time! I usually concentrate on the side dishes and desserts and let them fight over the grill…
Here’s an embarrassing fact, between our 2 houses, we have 11 grills…yep, 11 😳
Needless to say, my oven hasn’t seen a turkey in a long time…
The flavor of the month for November is Pecan
To me pecans are kinda like bacon, they make everything better! But if you’re not a fan, I will make sure the recipes I feature will work without
Appetizers
Magic Spinach & Mushroom Appetizer from Lulu’s Musings
Parmesan Oregano and Pine Nut Melts from Not Enough Cinnamon
Maple Sausage Apple & Pecan Balls from Jimmy Dean

Here’s what I made from the October Paint Bucket
The flavor of the month was Pumpkin
Favorite pumpkin recipes from the past came together in Pumpkin Recipe Round-up
I also made a versatile, 3 way Harvest Pumpkin Tart inspired by Pumpkin Spice Danish from Half Baked Harvest
It can be topped with maple syrup or an egg for a unique brunch dish
Brussels Sprouts & Bacon Gratin is perfect for fall and holiday dining and was featured at Miz Helen’s Country Cottage, Full Plate Thursday
Pepperoni & Pineapple Biscuit Bubble Up jumped into the slow cooker for a super easy way to cook and serve this pizza like pull apart for game day snacking
Broccoli Casserole Dip from Delish turned into Broccoli & Cheese Dip or Spread, perfect for game day or a holiday appetizer
Cheesy Sausage Soup from Plain Chicken turned into 2 wonderful dishes, Cheesy Corn & Sausage Soup
And the leftovers went into this bonus dish, Corny Biscuit Bake
Peanut Butter Cheesecake Cookie Bars from Inside Bru Crew Life turned into Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Candy Pastry, great for using up leftover Halloween candy
It was a delicious month!
Happy Cooking!

Thank you for the grill count, nice to know I’m in good company:@) Sounds like November will be a tasty month… Bring on the pecans!
What a lineup! Recipes AND grills, lol.
We are still juggling who, when and where for the holidays. Wow, really, eleven grills! Wow, I would love that, always something cooking outside! Great recipes for November…..
Love pecans in anything!!
Thank you, Jenna, for all the ideas! I’ve just started to eek out a menu for Thanksgiving and you’ve truly sent some inspiration my way! I’m always trying to find something special to perk things up and your recipes fit the bill. I’ll let you know what the final choices will be.
Thanks again for saving me from having to scroll through Food Network ideas!
I’ve got an acorn squash one coming up next week Rosie that is to die for and so easy, so save room on your menu!
I have a friend with a pecan farm here in Fairhope, so I’m always on the look-out for pecan recipes! These look delicious and my favorite thing – crunchy!
Hey – why am I anonymous? It’s me — Leslie Anne! I’ll have to fix this.
I need to check out that B-sprout au gratin. We have boatloads of Brussels and after awhile they get boring!
Jenna, I love the taste of pecans and use them constantly! I can’t wait for the “chocolate bourbon pecan pie cupcakes”!!! You provide so much inspiration in the kitchen! How did you all end up with 11 grills???
Oh, I love pecans!! ❤️ Your recipes all sound so yummy – can’t wait to “taste” them in November! Cheers Jenna! 🌻 Oh, and we have 4 grills… 2 are Traegers which are smoker/grills – so looking forward to cooking a turkey in them this year! 😄
We love pecans, so it will be a fun month over here!!! 😀
I had to chuckle at the grill count Jenna. We have 3 grills if you count the TBGE. Of the 3, 2 no longer work. We haven’t cooked a turkey inside in years. 🙂
These posts make my mouth water! And, I’m not even hungry…there’s just so much bacon and Brussel sprouts and cheese and all kinds of other yumminess!
Girl you’re making me hungry and I just ate!
11 grills? Wow, that is amazing. Thank you for sharing these these awesome recipes. I am still deciding on the menu. You are quite amazing. When do you sleep? LOL
