Fearless Friday, Holiday Doodle Printable

Happy Black Friday!
If you celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope it was a wonderful one!
With the holidays, stress is always a factor, so today I thought we’d doodle our way to relaxation!
The definition of doodle, is to scribble absentmindedly
Just pick up a pen or pencil and see what happens
There is no right or wrong, a turkey can certainly have an Indian Corn feather
And maybe candy corns and other crazy patterns
Like Acorns!
If you are going to color your turkey with markers be sure to use an archival ink pen. Archival pens are waterproof, they don’t run, bleed or fade
You can see a wide variety of archival pens here
I recommend getting a set that has a variety of nib sizes, x-fine, fine, medium, broad, chisel, calligraphy
I have this set by Master, and I love the variety of nibs, 16 pens for $20 is a great buy
forgive this crude chart, but you can see at a glance the great variety of lines
It’s fun to experiment with the different effects you can achieve with different nibs
I used a new pen, a Tombow Monotwin, that I didn’t realize was not archival, and it did bleed when I colored over it with marker…I love to use Tombow dual brush markers for filling in and lettering but for line work I prefer Master and Plumchester {Art Snacks}
Doodling is a great way to experiment and learn what your supplies will and won’t do
I used a combination of markers and colored pencils to color this doodle turkey
Unless you look closely, you don’t notice the bleeding
I had so much fun with the turkey, I decided to do a holiday doodle for you
You can print it out right here and have some coloring fun

Love your holiday doodle, Jenna. As always, thanks for the shopping code discount. I’ll try to stay out of shopping trouble, but there’s no guarantee. 😉 If I can busy myself with decorating instead, then I’ll miss out on all the deals today. Such a dilemma……..
Have a good one!
Thanks Rita! Have fun decorating! I can’t start until Sunday or Monday and my fingers are itching to get started~
This is such fun! I love the doodle and I really appreciate the step-by-steps. I’m going to save this because SOMEDAY (OK, not for another couple of years) Baby Grand will be old enough to draw (vs. scribble, which he can’t even do yet) and this would be a fun thing for us to do together! Hope your TG was great and thanks for the code. I love your work and I’ll check my list (twice) and probablyl buy more!
Thanks Jeanie, that’s a fun idea. You will love it when Baby Grand can paint with you!
Happy Day After Thanksgiving, Jenna! Love your turkey doodle. It made me smile!! Enjoy the busy days that are ahead……. Rosie
