Party Panache, Strawberry Tree

We enjoyed a strawberry tree as part of our holiday fare

It was so pretty, and made quite a statement on the buffet

I couldn’t help thinking this would be so easy to change up for any occasion or holiday

like Valentine’s Day!

Bless your heart pillow

A styrofoam cone, toothpicks and spinach leaves cover the base

You could also use lettuce, cabbage leaves,  or anything food safe

I made it the day before and tucked in into the fridge overnight

Before serving I surrounded the base with cheese cubes, grapes, and parsley

For an edible Valentine tree,

please use your imagination here

you could use powdered donut holes and strawberries

How about an edible tree for St. Patrick’s day,

more imagination please

using  a stryrofoam cone covered with broccoli floretes, and carrots

with a wreath of other green veggies and golden yellow pepper pieces surrounding the base

with a “pot of gold” to dip them in

Can’t you just picture that?

Instead of gumdrops, how about a jelly bean and peeps tree for Easter?

A tiered server is another good option for buffets

You can create your own by Playing with Dishes, and stacking pieces you have

A pineapple makes a great tree, this one is decorated with mini cheese balls

The best part about using  “tree style serving” is that

it takes up much less room in your serving space

than a large tray of food, and adds height and visual interest

Instead of an edible tree, a tree of vegetables and herbs is a beautiful centerpiece

And of course, flowers presented just a little differently, make a dramatic impact

see Flower Market here

Remember the power of presentation!

This Bloody Mary Brunch is features bakery bagels, croissants, hard boiled eggs, but they all look party pretty because of the display

You really possess the Power of Presentation! The strawberry tree is fantabulous and I can’t wait to make one for the next celebration…a trial one might be “needed” first. Thank-you!

    • Thank you Ellen, it’s really not hard at all, and I would have covered it with more stuff but I ran out of strawberries so just filled in with more spinach… endless possibilities here, I keep thinking of new combos so you’ll probably see another one in the future 🙂
