Fearless Friday, Sweet Potato Chip Nachos

We’re nibbling on these Sweet Potato Chip Nachos this weekend

so I decided do a quick watercolor sketch for the 31 day challenge

during #WorldWaterColorMonth

I started by putting water on the paper and dropping watercolor into it, letting it run and puddle

Once that dried I added lines with a waterproof .4 liner pen to define the food shapes

Then I darkened some areas and added a few more details with colored pencil

These are the main recipe ingredients, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato chips, bacon & bleu cheese

To finish, I uploaded the photo to PicMonkey and added text

Oh goodness. I have to make these!!!!

  2. This is fun! I’m trying to practice a bit more and experiment with the loose water and paint (thanks to your inspiration) as an exercise to free me up. It’s loads of fun and I’ve been happy with some of the stuff I’ve done. A few things? Not so much — but sometimes water cooperates and sometimes not! I love this and they sound delish!

    • I have been doing a lot of things lately that are, as you said, “not so much” but don’t you think that it’s fun to experiment? Watercolor is full of constant surprises for sure!!

    Beautiful and delicious Jenna!

  4. Love this Jenna! Enjoy your weekend!
