August already???
School starts back in early to mid August in Alabama, so when the calendar hits August 1, it really feels like summer is over…the heat will stick around until October though, and our markets and grocery stores are still full of fresh summer produce
Blueberries are still in abundance at great prices so

Glazed Pineapple Kielbasa Bites from Complete Recipes and BBQ Chicken, Bacon & Pineapple Kabobs from Butter with a Side of Bread were the inspiration for these mouthwatering
Sweet Chili Teriyaki Chicken, Pineapple & Sausage Kebabs
Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs with Pineapple Salsa was inspired by Spiralized Onion & Pineapple Salsa from the Painted Apron archives
We love Sweet Potato Nachos and had them over the 4th holiday weekend
Peach & Bacon Pizza and the Peach & Walnut Salad from Food Network magazine, July,
inspired this Peach of a Salad
Ritzy Vidalia Onion Pie was inspired by Cheddar & Ritz Vidalia Onion Pie from Turnips 2 Tangerines
Crazy Good 3 Cheese Zucchini Pie was the result of a different interpretation of Chicken, Zucchini & Fresh Corn Burgers from the Cafe Sucre Farine
Mississippi Sin Ham Sliders from A Family Feast are definitely sinful sliders!
I changed the recipe up a bit by adding a mustard sauce for my version of Sinful Sliders
BBQ Chicken & Pineapple Wrap is adapted from Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wrap from It Tastes Better from Scratch
Strawberry Bundt Cake from Paula Deen was the inspiration for Fresh Strawberry Bundt Cake
You’ve got to try the glaze for this cake, only 2 ingredients, sweetened condensed milk and strawberry jam

Jenna, I loved your pineapple offerings and can’t wait for the blueberry recipes. Blueberry biscuits are calling my name! It has rained 4 inches at my house since yesterday afternoon.
We are drowning on the coast too! I hope it’s not too much rain for your beautiful garden…since I can’t go outside today I will be playing with the 2 pints of blueberries in my refrigerator!
